Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a square table such that there are two on each side and they are all facing the centre the table.
Only D sits between A and G. E sits two places to the left of A. F and H are sitting along one side of the square table. F sits opposite A. B sits two places to the left of F.
Puzzle – 2
A, B, C, D, E, F and G go to the mall on different days of the week starting from Sunday and ending on Saturday. They do jobs at different shops viz. Pharmacy, Bakery, Grocery, Garment, Electronics, Mobile and Hardware.
C works at a bakery shop but goes there neither on Saturday nor on Thursday. E goes on Tuesday and works at the hardware shop. A goes on Friday but works neither in pharmacy nor in a garment shop. The one goes on Monday works at a grocery shop. The one who works at the pharmacy shop goes to the mall on Wednesday. F works in a garment shop. G works in the electronic shop and goes on Saturday. D does not go to the mall on Monday.
Seven boys A, D, Y, U, P, Q and J live in three different buildings- Ashiana, Top-view and Ridge. Each of them is flying kites of different colours i.e. Red, Green, Blue, White, Black, Yellow and Pink not necessarily in that order. Not more than three or less than two stay in any of the buildings.
Q is flying a pink kite and lives in the same building as only J. i.e. Ashiana. Y is flying a black kite and does not live in Ridge building. U does not live in the same building as A or P and is flying a yellow coloured kite. D lives in Ridge building with only one more person and is flying a green kite. None in the Top-view building flies a white kite. P does not fly a blue kite.
Puzzle – 4
Eight people P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are sitting in a straight line and facing north direction. Their ages are, 12, 14, 18, 26, 29, 35 ,42 and 67.
The one who is 12 years old is 4th to the left of the eldest person, who is sitting at the end. The sum of the ages of S and Q is equal to P. S is not the youngest person. S and W are neighbours of Q. R’s age is not an even number and he is older than W and younger than U. Only 3 persons are sitting between S and U. Only 2 persons are sitting between Q and T, who is 29 years old. P is not the neighbour of U. R is not sitting to the left of Q.
Puzzle – 5
Ten persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J are sitting in two rows with five persons in each row. The persons in row one are facing south and the persons in row two are facing north. Each person in row one faces a person from the other row. All of them likes a different colour, viz Black, Blue, Green, White, Yellow, Pink, Brown, Red, Purple and Orange, but not necessarily in the same order.
The persons who like Yellow and Pink sit opposite to each other. F sits opposite to A, who likes Black. The one who likes Blue sits opposite to the one who likes Red. J is not facing north but sits third to the left of G, who likes Blue. There is only one person between B and C. E sits at one of the ends of the row and likes Pink. The one who likes Red is on the immediate right of D, who does not like Orange. The persons who like Green and White respectively are not facing north. C likes Brown. The one who likes White sits opposite the one who is second to the right of B. I does not like Orange. E sits opposite to the one who sits second to the left of the one who likes Green.
