Puzzle 1

Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are born in different years viz., 1961, 1968, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1986, 1989 and 1993 but not necessary in the same order. Their ages were calculated based on the year 2019.


Two persons are born between Q and P, whose age is in multiple of 5. T was born immediately after Q. Only one person was born between U and W. As many persons born after W is same as born before S. S is not the eldest person. As many persons born between P and S is same as born between Q and V.

Puzzle – 2

Eight persons J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q are sitting in a circular table with equal distance from each other and all of them are facing away from the centre.

Only two persons are sitting between M and N. P sits immediate right of M. L sits third to the right of O. Neither N nor P is an immediate neighbour of O. J sits second to the left of L. As many persons sitting between J and K is same as sitting between P and Q.

Puzzle 3

Seven boxes P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are kept one above another and the boxes were in different colours viz., Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and White but not necessary in the same order.

Only two boxes are kept between the box V and the White coloured box but none of them is kept at either bottommost or topmost position. More than two boxes are kept above the White coloured box.The Red coloured box is kept immediately above the box R, which is not in White colour. The box V is not in Red colour. As many boxes kept above the box P is same as below the Red coloured box. The box P is not in Red colour. Only two boxes are kept between the box U and the Red coloured box. Only one box is kept between the Yellow and the Orange coloured boxes. More than three boxes are kept between the Yellow coloured box and the box S. The box U is not in Yellow colour. Two boxes are kept between T and the Blue coloured box. Neither R nor V is in Blue colour. The box S is not in Green colour.

Puzzle – 4

Twelve persons are sitting in two parallel rows with equal distance from each other and facing the person from one row to another row. In row-1, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting and facing south. In row-2, P, Q, R, S, T and V are sitting and facing north but not necessary in the same order.

C faces the persons who sits second to the right of T but none of them sits at any corners of the rows. Two persons are sitting between T and Q. V faces the person who sits third to the left of F. S sits second to the left of V. A sits third to the right of E. As many persons sitting between E and D is same as sitting between Q and R.

Puzzle – 5

Seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U and V belongs to three different cities viz., Ranchi, Pune and Kolkata with atleast two persons belong to each city. Each of them like a different colours viz., Pink, Black, White, Blue, Red, Yellow and Green but not necessary in the same order.

R belongs to Kolkata and he likes Pink. U likes neither Yellow nor Black and he belongs to the same city as only V. Q belongs to the same city as P but he belongs neither to Kolkata nor to Ranchi. T does not belong to Kolkata and he likes Blue. The one who likes Green belongs neither to Ranchi nor to Pune. P likes Red. The one who likes Black does not belong to Pune.
