Puzzle 1


Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows in such a way that five of them are sitting in each row with equidistance from each other and facing the person in one row to another row. In row-1, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting and facing north. In row-2, A, B, C, D and E are sitting and facing south. They all are belongs to different cities viz., Nagpur, Surat, Patna, Agra, Pune, Panaji, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi and Mumbai but not necessary in the same order.

The one who belongs to Agra faces the person who sits third to the left of E. Only one person sitting between the one who belongs to Agra and Q. The one who belongs to Pune sits opposite to the person who sits second to the right of A. Q does not belongs to Pune. Only two persons are sitting between A and the one who belongs to Mumbai. The one who belongs to Surat faces the person who sits immediate right of T. Only one person sits between the one who belongs to Surat and Patna. T does not faces the person who belongs to Mumbai. The one who belongs to Delhi sits third to the right of R. The one who belongs to Nagpur faces the person who sits second to the left of B. As many persons sitting between the one who belongs to Chennai and S is same as between D and the one who belongs to Panaji. S does not face E.

Puzzle – 2

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are living on different floors of an eight storey building in such a way that the ground floor is numbered one, the above one floor is numbered two and so on till the topmost floor is numbered eight. They all are like different flowers viz., Rose, Lily, Iris, Begonia, Lotus, Jasmine, Foxglove and Daisy but not necessary in the same order.

Only two persons are living between B and the one who likes Foxglove, who lives on one of the even numbered floors. B lives above the one who likes Foxglove. H lives immediately below the one who likes Daisy. As many persons living above the one who likes Daisy is same as living below the one who likes Rose. B likes neither Daisy nor Rose. Four persons are living between G and the one who likes Jasmine. E lives immediately above the one who likes Jasmine. G does not like Daisy. Only two persons are living between F and the one who likes Begonia. F does not lives immediately above or below G. More than three persons are living between A and the one who likes Lotus. As many persons are living between A and the one who likes Daisy is same as living between H and the one who likes Iris. C does not live on the even numbered floor.

Puzzle 3

Eight boxes J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q are kept one above another in a stack. Each box is in different colours viz., Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, White and Pink but not necessary in the same order.

Only three boxes are kept between the box Q and the Orange coloured box, none of these two boxes are kept at either bottommost or topmost positions. The Orange coloured box is kept below the box Q. The Red coloured box is kept immediately below the box J. As many boxes are kept below the Red coloured box is same as the boxes above the box P. The box Q is not in Red colour. The box J is not in Orange colour. Only two boxes are kept between the box P and the Yellow coloured box, which is does not kept at bottommost position. Three boxes are kept between the box K and the Violet coloured box. The box L is kept immediately below the Violet coloured box. The box J is not in Violet colour. The White coloured box is kept immediately below the box M. The box M is not in Yellow colour. Only two boxes are kept between N and the Green coloured box. As many boxes of are kept between the box P and the Blue coloured box is same as between the box K and the Pink coloured box.

Puzzle – 4

Twelve persons are sitting in two parallel rows with equal distance from each other and facing the person in one row to another row. In row-1, P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting and facing south. In row-2, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting all of them are facing north but not necessary in the same order.

R faces the person who sits second to the right of D and neither of them sit at any extreme ends of the rows. Only two persons are sitting between R and S. Q faces the person who sits third to the right of B. P sits opposite to the one who sits second to the left of C. Only one person sits between U and P. As many persons sitting between T and U is same as sitting between F and E, who does not sit immediate to D.

Puzzle – 5

Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are living on different floors of an eight storey building in such a way that the ground floor is numbered one, the above one is numbered two and so on till the topmost floor is numbered eight. The person who are living on even numbered floors like different fruits viz., Papaya, Mango, Guava and Orange.

Only two. persons are living between Q and the one who likes Papaya, who does not live above Q. W lives immediately below the one who likes Papaya. Four persons are living between U and the one who likes Guava. Only two persons are living between U and P. Three persons are living between V and the one who likes Orange. V does not like Papaya. More than three persons are living between the one who likes Orange and S. T does not live on the even numbered floor.
