Puzzle 1


Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are sitting in a row and all of them are facing north. They all are like different colours viz., Violet, Blue, Purple, Pink, Green, Orange, Red and White but not necessary in the same order.


The one who likes Violet sits fourth to the right of V. Neither V nor the one who likes Violet sits at any extreme ends of the row. The one who likes Green sits immediate right of S, who is not an immediate neighbour of V. As many persons sitting to the right of the one who likes Green is same as the persons sitting to the left of the one who likes Orange. V does not like Orange. The one who likes Red sits second to the left of Q. Only two persons are sitting between R and the one who likes Red. R is not an immediate neighbour of Q. Only three persons are sitting between T and the one who likes White. The one who likes Pink sits second to the right of T. As many persons sitting between V and the one who likes Pink is same as sitting between U and the one who likes Blue. P does not sit at any extreme ends of the row.

Puzzle – 2

Eight Exams A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are held in forenoon and afternoon session of four different days of the week starting from Monday to Thursday. Not more than two exams held in a day.

Exam B was held on afternoon. Two exams held between B and F. Three Exams held between E and G. Number of exams held before E is as same as number of exams held after F. Four exams are held between H and D. Only one exam held between H and C which is not held on Wednesday Forenoon. Exam A not held after exam D.

Puzzle 3

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting in a circular table with equal distance from each other and all of them are facing centre of the table. They all are belongs to different countries viz., Ireland, Malaysia, China, India, Nepal, Fiji, Russia and America but not necessary in the same order.

Only two persons are sitting between D and the one who belongs to America. B sits immediate right of the one who belongs to America. The one who belongs to India sits second to the right of C, who is not an immediate neighbour of both B and D. The one who belongs to Ireland sits immediate right of F, who is an immediate neighbour of D. The one who belongs to Nepal sits third to the left of G. H belongs to China, who faces A. E sits second to the right of A. The one who belongs to Russia faces the person who belongs to Ireland. Three persons are sitting between the one who belongs to India and the one who belongs to Malaysia.

Puzzle – 4

Ten persons J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting in a circular table with equal distance from each other and all of them are facing away from the centre but not necessary in the same order.

L sits second to the right of T. Three persons are sitting between L and P. Q sits second to the left of R, who is an immediate neighbour of P. Q sits opposite to S. N sits fourth to the right of J. As many persons are sitting between T and K is same as sitting between R and M.Q is not an immediate neighbour of M.

Puzzle – 5

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H speak different languages viz., Telugu, Kannada, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu and Marathi but not necessary in the same order. They all are belongs to three different cities namely Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata but not more than three persons and not less than two persons belongs to the same city.

G belongs to Mumbai. G and the one who speaks Urdu belong to the same city. The one who speaks English belongs to Kolkata.D belongs to the same city only with the one who speaks Hindi. D neither speaks Urdu nor speaks English. C speaks Kannada. H and the one who speaks Marathi belong to the same city but not with G. H does not speak Hindi or English.E neither speaks Urdu nor belongs to Kolkata. Neither D nor H speaks Tamil. F and the one who speaks Malayalam belong to the same city. F does not speak English. B does not belong to the same city as C.
