Puzzle 1
Eight persons – Balu, Komal, Pappu, Chetan, Mahesh, Suresh, Somya and Mohan are sitting in a row but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing North and others South. Balu and Komal are facing different direction. Pappu sits four places away from Chetan and sits at one end of the row and both are facing south.
The number of person sitting to the right of Mohan is one less than the number of persons sitting to the right of Mahesh. The persons sitting at the ends are facing the same direction. Exactly two persons are sitting between Balu and Pappu. Somya sits to the immediate right of Komal and not immediate to the Pappu and Balu. Mahesh sits third to the left of Chetan, who is to the immediate right of Suresh.

Seven people P, Q, R, S, T, U and V sitting around a circular table facing away from the center and belongs to different countries viz India, China, Japan, France, England, Russia and Pakistan. Each of them likes a different color viz, Pink, Red, Brown, Yellow, Blue, Black and White but not necessarily in the same order.
The one who likes Brown is from China and is not P. T sits third to the right of the one who is from Russia. R’s immediate neighbors are P and S. The one who likes White is from Pakistan. The one who likes Pink sits with the one who is from France. R does not like Yellow. P sits second to the right of U. S likes Blue and belongs to India. V has neighbors who like Black and Brown. Neither P or T is from France. Q does not sit with V. The people from England and France are sitting together. Neither P nor U is from Russia.

P, Q, R, S, T, V and W are seven students of a college. Each of them has a favourite subject from Physics, Chemistry, English, Biology, History, Geography and Philosophy, not necessarily in the same order. Each of them also has a favourite sport from Football, Cricket, Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Basketball not necessarily in the same order.
R likes Philosophy and his favourite sport is Hockey. The one who like Football likes English, T’s favourite sport is not Badminton or Table Tennis. V does not like either History or Biology. The one whose favourite sport is Basketball does not like Physics. W likes Chemistry and his favourite sport is Volleyball. S likes Geography. Q’s favourite sport is Badminton. V does not like English and his favourite sport is not Basketball. P’s favourite sport is Cricket. The one whose favourite sport is Badminton does not like Biology.

Puzzle – 4
A, F, L, O, Q, R, S and Y are eight persons who have their panel interviews on different days of the week starting from Monday and they are also travelling to different cities. The interview panel is numbered as 1 – 8. They are travelling to different locations like Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pune, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi. Two of them are travelling to the same city. Two of them have their interviews on the same day.
F is neither going to Chandigarh nor Bangalore and he is attending either panel 7 or 8. The person who is visiting the panel 1 is going to Pune but before Wednesday. L, who is travelling to Mumbai with one more people, is travelling on different days. The person who is attending panel 5 is travelling either to Delhi or Lucknow and also their interview is either on Monday or Sunday. Y is going to Hyderabad and he is attending Panel 4. Q’s interview is immediately before L’s interview. Two persons have interviews on Monday and they are travelling to Delhi and Hyderabad respectively. O, who is attending panel 2 has an interview after Friday either in Chandigarh or Mumbai. The panel 3 interview is scheduled in Bangalore on Thursday. S’s interview is before A’s and the interview panel is 6 and both do not have interviews after Wednesday. The persons who are travelling to Mumbai do not go on consecutive days.

Eight boxes namely A, B, C, D, U, M, N and O are placed from top to bottom but not necessarily in the same order. They contain different types of fruits among Apple, Banana, Orange, Grapes, Olives, Kiwi, Pear and Mango. Boxes are of different colours among red, green, black and yellow colour. Exactly two boxes are there of each colour. Consider top as 1st position and so on. The following information is known about them.
There is gap of one box between the box D which is green colour and box B and both are in the top 4 positions when boxes are arranged from top to bottom. The box containing Grapes fruit is kept immediately below black colour box and is of same colour as D. Box C is kept somewhere between N and O. Box O is below C. The two yellow boxes are kept vertically adjacent to each other. Orange fruit is kept exactly between M and the box containing Kiwi fruit. O doesn’t contain Apple fruit. There is gap of one box between the box U and box N, which is kept immediately below the box containing Grapes fruit. Box U is below the box N. The box containing Mango fruit is placed at even numbered place but is not placed at the bottom. The red colour box which is kept at top either contains Apple or Pear fruit. Box U is not of yellow colour. Box M which contains Olives fruit is of black colour. The box containing Banana fruit is of black colour. C doesn’t contain any of Apple or Mango fruit. B does not sits on 2nd position.
