Puzzle 1


Twelve persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing six persons each in such a way that there is an equal distance between them. In row-1, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting and all of them are facing south. In row-2, P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting and all of them are facing north. Each member sitting in the row faces each member in another row but not necessary in the same order.


P sits third to the left of T and none of them sits at any extreme ends of the row. A sits second to the right of E. Neither A nor E faces T and P. R does not face A and does not sit at any of the extreme ends. Only one person sits between F and C and both of them facing does not facing T and P. C does not sit any of the extreme ends of the row. Only one person sits between U and Q. F is not an immediate neighbour of B. A does not face U. As many persons sitting between A and F is same between R and U.

Puzzle – 2

Eight persons J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q are born in eight different months January, March, April, July, September, October, November and December of the same year but not necessary in the same order.

Three persons are born between L and Q, who born in one of the month which has even number of days. N is born immediately before P. As many persons born before N is same as the number of persons born after O, who does not born in the last month of the year. More than three persons are born between O and M. J is elder than K.

Puzzle 3

There are eight persons sitting in a square table and four of them are sitting in the corner of the sides while remaining persons are sitting in middle of the sides. The persons who are sitting in the corners facing centre of the table and the persons who are sitting in the middle of the sides are facing away from the centre.

W sits third to the right of V, who does not sit at any corners of the table. T sits second to the left of U, who is not an immediate neighbour of both V and W. Only two persons sit between Q and R, who is an immediate neighbour of U.S faces P. S is not an immediate neighbour of T.

Puzzle – 4

Certain number of persons sits in the row facing north.

D sits eighth to the left of C. F is an immediate neighbour of D.E sits at the middle of the row. A is not an immediate neighbour of B. Only two persons sit between E and C. Only three persons sit between C and B. E is not an immediate neighbour of B. A sits fourth to the right of F.

Puzzle – 5

Eleven persons-A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L and M are living in a eleven floor building. The lowermost floor is numbered one, above it numbered two and so on until the topmost floor is numbered eleven.

Only two persons live between F and G. Only four persons live between A and G. E lives on one of the odd number floor but above the floor number five. Only one person lives between E and K. The number of person lives below A is as same number of persons lives above C. The number of persons lives between C and G is as same number of persons live between B and L.B lives on one of the floors above L. K lives immediately above G. M lives on one of the even number floors above L. H lives on one of the floors above D but below A. K lives on one of the floors below E.
