Employers can post their vacancies with employment exchanges and they can choose any of the registered candidates accordingly. Institutions establishing employment between 10 and 24 persons are being brought under the purview of the Act-The Employment Exchange (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act, 1959 for the purpose of furnishing returns. Employers are being mandated to present information related to the result of selection against the vacancies reported within thirty days from the date of selection to make registration data more rational. Definitions of employee and employer are broad to include contract labour, which has worked more than 240 days in a year.

Procedure to Online Registration on Employment Exchange
If you want to apply under Employment Exchange, then you have to follow the following steps-
- First of all, you have to go to the official website of the employment exchange. After this, the home page of the website will open in front of you.
- You need to register yourself on the home page of the website.
- After this, you have to log in to the website by entering the user id and password.
- Now to apply, you have to select the name of the district, enter the details of your original state and district, and submit the application form.
- Now you can save the registration number, registration date, and employment exchange name received by saving it in the future.
- Produce all relevant certificates in support of education, experience, caste, sports, handicapped (issued by Medical Board / CMO), ex-serviceman, widow, freedom fighter and proof of residence, etc. within 15 days from the date. Registration deadlines may vary.
Procedure to Offline Registration on Employment Exchange
