A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a circle facing the centre.

F is third to the right of C and second to the left of H. D is not an immediate neighbor of C or H. E is on the immediate right of A, who is second to the right of G.

Mains Level Puzzle :

Puzzle 1

Seven boxes namely, R, M, H, L, P, T, and X, are placed one above another, but not necessarily in the same order. Each of them is made up of different material viz. Gold, Silver, Copper, and Steel. Not more than two boxes are made up of one material. There is one vacant space between the two boxes. The order of arrangement of boxes is from top to bottom.

There is one Box between Box H and the Box L which is made up of Steel material. Three boxes are placed between the box which is made up of Steel and the one which is made up of Silver. There is a vacant space between the boxes which is made up of Silver and the one which is made up of Copper material. Box P is made up of the same material as Box R. Box M is made up of Gold material and placed at the bottommost position. There are two boxes placed between the box which is made up of Gold material and the one which is made up Silver. Box M doesn’t place anywhere above Box X. No box is placed just after Box X which is not made up of Copper material. Box R is placed immediately below the box which is made up of Steel material but, not immediately above Box L. Only box X is made up of silver.

Puzzle 2

There are nine people namely, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I who sit in a row facing in North and South directions. They like different colors among Orange, Red, Pink, and Blue. At least two people like the same color and not more than three people like the same color.

All the people who like Pink have one of the neighbors as the one who likes Red. A sits second to the right of F and they both face in the same direction. F and G face in the same direction but opposite to that of H. E’s immediate neighbors are I and C. The two people who like Orange is the only pair sitting together like the same color and none of them is F. H sits third to the left of the one who likes Pink. D sits somewhere between B, who is at one of the ends, and A. C sits at 3rd position from the right end and likes Blue which is the same as that of the person sitting at extreme right. H and G sit together and none of them likes Pink. D faces in a direction opposite to that of A. B and E like the same color, are the only ones who like this color, and also face in opposite directions. C’s neighbors face in the same direction but opposite to that of C. The one who likes Pink sits in the middle facing in the South direction.
