Puzzle 1

There are 8 persons standing in a vertical line facing south which has 10 positions. Two positions were vacant. The vacant positions were neither at adjacent positions nor at the either end of the line.


R stands second from the end of the line. P stands two positions away from R. None stands between P and S. N stands third to the north of M; either one of them stands at end of the line. None stands at the adjacent positions of P. L stands at the position third to the south of S. H is not an immediate neighbour of R. D is one among the eight persons.

Puzzle – 2

There are 10 boxes arranged in a shelf from left to right. Each box were in different colours viz. Green, Yellow, Pink, Red, Orange, Brown, Blue, Violet and two boxes were in White colour. All the information is not necessary to be in the same order. The white coloured boxes were not placed adjacent to each other. Brown colour box is placed second from the one of the end.

Two boxes are placed between Brown and Yellow coloured boxes. Green coloured box is placed two places away from Yellow coloured box. Three boxes are placed between Brown and white coloured boxes. Green coloured box is not placed adjacent to white colour box. Orange coloured box is placed at one of the position left of Green coloured box. There are three boxes between Orange and Pink coloured box. Pink coloured box is placed adjacent to one of the white coloured boxes. Red coloured box is not placed adjacent to White coloured box.

Puzzle 3

Eight persons M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T are sitting on a square table. Four of them are sitting in the middle of the square table are facing inside and others are sitting in the corner of the square table are facing outside. Each one of them likes different types of subject i.e. Accounts, Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing, Economics, Geology, English, and Commerce but not necessarily in the same order.

O sits second to the right of the one who likes English but O is not facing outside. There are two persons sit between O and the one who likes Commerce. N sits third to the right of S, who likes Nursing. S faces in the same direction as O. Q likes neither Anatomy nor Accounts. R Sits an immediate right of P, who likes economics but R not facing inside. M is not an immediate neighbour of P and N. The one who likes Physiology sits second to the right of the one who likes Anatomy. T is not an immediate neighbour of P. M does not like Commerce.

Puzzle – 4

Eight persons E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L live on an eight -story building. The ground floor is numbered one and the floor above it is numbered two and so on. Each person earns different types of salaries i.e. 40,000, 45,000, 50,000, 55,000 60,000, 65,000 70,000, and 75,000 but not necessarily in the same order.

H lives in one of the even number floors but not the topmost floor. J does not live in the topmost floor. There are two floors between H and K, whose salary is 45,000. The one whose salary is 55,000 live immediately above H. I does not live on floor number 6. There are three persons live between H and L, whose salary is 50,000. The salary difference between I and J is 10,000. Only one person lives between E and F, whose salary is 60,000. J lives an immediately above G, whose salary is 40,000. L does not live immediately above K. I’s salary is more than J.

Puzzle – 5

Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows in such a way that five of them sitting in each row with equal distance from each other. The person in each row is facing the person in the other row. In row-1, A, B, C, D and E are sitting and facing south. In row-2, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting and facing north. Each of them working in different banks viz., IOB, RBL, BOB, TMB, UBI, DBS, CUB, SBI, PNB and KMB but not necessary in the same order.

The one who is working in CUB faces the person who sits third to the right of S. Only one person sits between C and the one who is working in CUB. The one who is working in BOB faces the person who sits second to the left of R. B sits immediate right of the one who is working in BOB. Only one person sits between R and the one who is working in IOB. Two
persons are sitting between Q and the one who is working in TMB, who does not sit any of the extreme ends of the row. D is an immediate neighbour of the one who faces person who is working in TMB. As many persons sitting to the left of T is same as sitting to the left of the one who is working in DBS, who does not sit opposite to T. T is not working in DBS. The one who is working in RBL sits second to the left of E. The one who is working in KMB faces the person who sits second to the right of the person who is working in PNB. The one who is working in UBI and KMB does not sit any of the extreme ends of the rows.
