There are twelve friends sitting in two parallel rows containing six people each. In row 1, L, M, N, O, P and Q are seated and all of them are facing south. In row 2, Z, Y, X, W, V, and U are seated and all of them are facing north. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row.


P faces W, who does not sit at extreme ends. Z sits third to the right of W. Z does not sit at extreme ends. Q does not face Z, and he does not sit at either of the extreme ends. Q is not an immediate neighbor of P. Y sits at one of the extreme ends. Only two persons sit between Y and V. V does not face Q. Two persons sit between N and M. N is not an immediate neighbor of P. X does not face Q. L is not at an immediate neighbor of N.

Puzzle 2 :

Kabaddi World Cup is being organized by India in the month of October 2016. Seven teams that are participating are ­ Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Kenya, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the USA. They will be playing the matches at different places namely Delhi, Ahmedabad, Noida, Rajkot, Vadodara, Anand, and Mumbai, but not necessarily in the same order. Each team will play on a different day of the week starting from Monday.

The UK will play in Mumbai but neither on Friday nor on Monday. The host country will play on Thursday at Ahmedabad. There is a gap of one day between the UK and India matches. The USA will play their match before South Africa but after Kenya. Kenya plays at Vadodara on Wednesday. South Africa will play on the last day of the week. Sri Lanka will play at Anand. No match will be played at Delhi on Monday. The match at Noida will be the last match of the week. The match at Rajkot will be played on Tuesday. No match will be played at Anand on Tuesday and Friday.

Mains Level Puzzle :

A music concert is coming soon in London on 23rd April so that different countries musicians are ready to participate in the concert. There are eight musicians who are going to participate in the concert, Participants are – J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q – are sitting around a circular table. 3 of them are facing outside the center. There are 4 leaders named J, P, Q, and L are the leaders of the four Indian Domestic music concerts while the others are part of the of American concerts. The list of Indian Domestic concerts is Hornbill, Magnetic Fields, Ziro, and Sunburn while that the list of American concerts is Detroit, Santa Yenz, Pompano and Key west.

• Q, a leader of Ziro sits opposite M, who is a musician of Key west and only one of them is facing the center.

• J is the leader of Sunburn and sits third to the right of the one who is the musician of Santa Yenz. Both face the same direction.

• The Pompano’s musician is second to the left of L, who is a Magnetic Fields leader. L is facing the center.

• There is only J sits between the musician of Key west and O, who is Detroit’s musician.

• O is third to the left of P, who is the Hornbill’s leader. O is to the immediate right of the Sunburn’s leader, who is facing outside.

• The neighbors of the Pompano’s musician are facing the same direction. K is neither the Pompano’s musician nor the Ziro leader.
