About WB Karmai Dharma Scheme 2021
WB Karmai Dharma was launched by keeping in view the problems that the youth is facing in today’s world when the employment statistics are desperately going down with the upcoming time. The Chief Minister of West Bengal state Mamta Banerjee announced this scheme on Monday. This scheme was announced by addressing the grievance of the people who were submitted at the block level. It is said that this scheme will provide a healthy environment for the small businesses that the people of the region are starting due to the unemployment statistics.
Objective Of West Bengal Karmai Dharma Scheme
The main objective of launching the scheme was to provide employment opportunities to the two lakh unemployed youth of the West Bengal region. We all are aware of the circumstances that are above our head today so in these circumstances, it is very difficult for the youth to start their own business plus purchase motorcycles to support the businesses. It is also said that the unemployment statistics in the West Bengal state have reduced due to the self-employment trend which is really happening nowadays. The unemployment rate in West Bengal has been reduced to 40% as of now. With this new scheme, a lot of other schemes have also been launched by the Chief Minister of the West Bengal State to help the unemployed people of a region.
Benefits Of WB Karmai Dharma Scheme 2021
The main benefit which will provide through the implementation of the WB Karmai Dharma is the self-employment nature of the scheme. Around two lakh youth will be benefited from one motorcycle each and it is also said that financial aid will be given to these beneficiaries from cooperative banks. The bikes will also have boxes at the backseat so that the youth can carry certain items in those boxes. The bikes will be highly beneficial for delivering certain items. Through these bikes, the small businesses that the youth is starting nowadays will be benefited. The Chief Minister also said that they will be providing a hundred percent scholarship to the meritorious students.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria while applying for the West Bengal scheme:-
- First of all, the applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.
- The applicant must be unemployed
- An applicant must be in search of a good job
- The applicant must have completed their class 10th and 12th examination from a recognized board
- The people who are willingly starting a new business or venture and are in need of some funding can apply for the scheme
