The official announcement was made on March 9, 2023, during the presentation of the budget by the Telangana government. The Gruha Lakshmi 2023 was unveiled by the Telangana government. Under this programme, people who are considered to be below the poverty line would be given financial assistance for up to Rs 3 lakh to build a house. This programme would provide cash benefits to 4 lakh people. The Telangana government would only give this financial assistance to female recipients.

The state government launched the Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. It is essentially a welfare programme intended to increase the power of Dalit households and promote entrepreneurship. The government has allocated Rs. 1200 crores to set this plan into action.

Benefits for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Telangana 2023

• The recipient household receives rupees 3000 from the state government as part of the Gruha Lakshmi initiative.
• This sum will be given to the residents for the building of their homes.
•  The government only contributes a certain amount towards building, no money is given towards buying land.
• The KCR 3 lakh initiative would undoubtedly assist Telangana’s homeless poor.
• The benefits of this scheme and the money will be deposited in the accounts of all the women recipients.
• The scheme will go into effect this year in March 2023, and everyone who is qualified can register online after the government issues the notice for application registration.
• As part of the Gruha Lakshmi Pathkam housing scheme, the government contributes 3 lakh rupees towards the cost of building the home.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be residents of Telangana.
• There must be a female applicant.
• The applicant candidate must come from a low income family.
• She makes less than 75,000 each year.
• All necessary documentation is required for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme 2023 application.
• The candidate needs a bank account with a government run institution.
