L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, and S are sitting around a square table, four of them sit at 4 corners while four sits at the middle of the sides. The one who sits at the corners faces the center while who sit at the middle face outside. They like different flowers Rose, Lily, Daisy, Jasmine, Hibiscus, Orchid, Lavender, and Marigold (not necessarily in the same order).


R does not like Marigold. The one who likes Jasmine is an immediate neighbor of Q. N sits third to the left of the one who likes Marigold. Only two persons sit between N and S. The one who likes Rose sits on the immediate right of S. The one who likes Hibiscus sits second to the right of R. R is neither an immediate neighbor of S nor N. Only one person sits between L and the one who likes Hibiscus. O sits on the immediate left of the one who likes Orchid. P likes Lavender. The one who likes Marigold doesn’t face inside. P is not an immediate neighbor of L. The one who likes Lily is an immediate neighbor of P.

Puzzle 2

Anu, Bablu, Chetan, Dheeru, Esha, Falak, Golu, and Harish are seated in a straight line but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing south while some are facing north.

Only two people sit between Esha and Bablu. Only three people sit to the left of Esha. Esha faces south. Falak sits third to the right of Harish. Harish is an immediate neighbor of neither Esha nor Bablu. Harish does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line. Both the immediate neighbors of Dheeru face north. Dheeru is not an immediate neighbor of Harish. Only one person sits between Dherru and Anu. Anu faces the same direction as Harish. The immediate neighbors of Bablu face opposite directions (ie if one person is facing north then the other person faces south and vice versa). Persons sitting at the extreme ends face opposite directions. Chetan faces a direction opposite to that of Dheeru.

Seven persons – A, B, C, D, E, F, and G live on seven different floors (numbered 1 to 7) of a building but not necessarily in the same order. Each one of them likes different colors, namely Red, Blue, Green, Black, Yellow, Orange, and White (but not necessarily in the same order). All of them decided to visit a particular place with their family on seven different days of a week starting from Monday to Sunday.

A lives on an odd-numbered floor but not on floor numbered 3. Only two persons live between the one who likes yellow color and D. The one who likes green color lives immediately above C. The one who likes Yellow visited the place on one of the days before Thursday. The one who likes blue color lives on odd-numbered floors on one of the floors above D. B lives on one of the floors above E. Only three persons live between C and the one who likes blue color. The person who visited the place on Friday likes red Color. The one who likes red color lives on the floor immediately above the one who likes white color. G lives on an odd-numbered floor. E does not like green color. D visited the place on Sunday. Only one person lives between the floors of B and E. The one who likes yellow color lives on the floor immediately above A. Neither of A or C likes black color. The one who visited the place on Wednesday visited the place immediately after the one who likes blue color. The one who likes green color visited the place immediately before the one who lives on floor no 3. Two persons live between the floor no 4 and the person who visited the place on Wednesday. The one who visited the place on Wednesday is not C.
