Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are sitting around a circular table facing inside. Out of these eight C and G are girls. Each of these eight persons uses exactly one car from Audi, BMW, Alto, Santro, Jaguar, NISSAN, Ford, and Hyundai. No girl uses Hyundai, BMW, or Audi. A doesn’t use Audi and the person who uses NISSAN is not sitting adjacent to the person who uses Ford. It is further known that,


B is sitting 2nd to the right of D, who uses Ford. H uses NISSAN and is sitting 2nd to the left of G. The person who uses Ford is not sitting adjacent to the person who uses Hyundai. H is not sitting opposite to D and G is sitting opposite to the person who uses Jaguar. F uses Audi and is sitting opposite to the person who uses Santro. B is not sitting adjacent to H and E does not use BMW.

Puzzle 2

Eight children – A, B, C, D, E, F G, and H live on seven different floors (numbered 1 to 8) of a building but not necessarily in same order. Each one of them has got different marks in a test – 9, 14, 16, 23, 35, 41, 48, and 57.

E lives on an even-numbered floor below floor numbered 6. Two children live between E and one who got 41 marks. The same number of children live above E as below the floor of A. The one who got 23 marks lives on a floor immediately above A. One child lives between the ones who got 23 and 16 marks respectively. Two children live between the floors of G and one who got 35 marks such that G is above the one who got 35 marks. Neither A nor E got 35 marks. One child lives between the ones who got 35 and 9 marks respectively. D lives on one of the floors below the one who got 35 marks. H got 9 marks and lives on an odd-numbered floor. The difference between the marks of F and C is 21. F lives above C. A did not get the highest marks.

Puzzle 3

Eight friends P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W are sitting in a straight line. Some of them face north while some of them face south direction. Each of them belongs to different cities- Pune, Agra, Lucknow, Jaipur, Banaras, Delhi, Goa, and Kolkata.

The person who sits fourth to the right of T belongs to Jaipur and none of them sit extreme ends of the row. Q who belongs to Goa sits third to the left of R and faces the same direction as T. P belongs to Pune and sits one of the extreme ends of the row. R does not belong to Kolkata and S does not belong to Jaipur. Q is an immediate neighbor of the one who belongs to Jaipur. The one who belongs to Delhi sits one of the positions right of T. W sits second to the left of V who belongs to Lucknow and both of them facing the opposite direction to each other. Q faces north direction. P and U facing the same direction but opposite to S. The one who belongs to Kolkata sits third to the left of the one who belongs to Banaras. U sits second to the left of S. The one who belongs to Banaras is not an immediate neighbor of R.
