Puzzle 1

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J are family members. There are three generations of the family. Each member likes a different drink viz, Coffee, Tea, Milk, Sprite, Fanta, 7up, Maaza, Pepsi, Appy and Limca, but not necessarily in the same order. There are five females in the family. In the family, each female member, except B and H, has two sisters and one unmarried brother.

B has no sister-in-law. A does not like Tea. The grandson of J does not like Pepsi. No male member likes Maaza, Limca or Tea. I is the father-in-law of F and likes Fanta. G, who likes 7up, is the son-in-law of B. The mother of C likes Tea. D, who likes Coffee, is the unmarried sister of E, who does not like Maaza. C is the sister-in-law of F, but she does not like Fanta, Limca or Tea. E is the brother-in-law of G. The father of B is the husband of H and he does not like Appy. The grandparents do not like any beverage except Milk and Appy. C is a married sister of A.

Puzzle 2

There are five managers Manprit, Pratik, Kunal, Sumit and Tilak, who live in a five-storey building. The lowermost floor is numbered one and the topmost floor is numbered five. Each manager likes a different pet viz Dog, Parrot, Cow, Cat and Rabbit but not necessarily in the same order. Each manager works in a different company, viz Apple, Motorola, Vodafone, LG and Samsung.

Manprit works in Samsung and lives on the lowermost floor. The manager who lives on the topmost floor does not like Cow or Parrot. Sumit works in Vodafone and likes Cow. The one who likes Parrot does not live below the person who likes Dog. The one who works in Motorola likes Cat and lives on an even-numbered floor. Tilak lives on an odd-numbered floor and likes Rabbit. Kunal works in LG and lives just above the person who likes Cat.

Puzzle 3

Rakesh, Mohan, Meeta, Manish, Rekha, Reena and Mahesh live on seven different floors of a building but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one, the one above that is numbered two and soon till the topmost floor is numbered seven. Each one of them also likes different animals namely -Cow, Tiger, Dog, Lion, Cat, Wolf and Rat (but not necessarily in the same order.)

Only three people live between Mohan and Rekha. Mohan lives on one of the floors above Rekha. Rekha does not live on the lowermost floor. Only one person lives between Mohan and the one who like Dog. The one who likes Rat lives on one of the even numbered floors above the one who like Dog. Only two people live between Mahesh and the one who like Dog. The one who likes Cow lives immediately above Mahesh. Rakesh lives immediately above Reena. Rakesh does not like Dog. The one who likes Lion lives on one of the odd numbered floors below Reena. Mahesh does not like Lion. Manish lives on one of the Floors above Meeta. Only one person lives between the one who likes Cat and the one who likes Wolf. Manish does not like Cat. Mahesh does not like Tiger.

Puzzle 4

Seven people M, N, O, P, Q, R and S stay in an eight storied building with the lowermost floor numbered as 1 and so on. One of the floors is vacant. Each of them like a different fruits viz, Banana, Apple, Plum, Orange, Papaya, Pear and Mango not necessarily in the same order. The arrangement is based on the following rules:

* S lives on an even numbered floor.

* The floor immediately above or below the one in which S resides is vacant.

* There is a gap of four floors between the one who likes Mango and the floor that is vacant.

* Q likes Apple and lives immediately below the one who likes Papaya.

* There is a gap of one floor between the one who likes Papaya and the floor that is vacant.

* R’s immediate neighbours like Pear and Papaya.

* P lives above M and M likes neither Papaya nor Banana.

* There are four floors between the ones who like Orange and Banana. One who likes Orange stays on a floor higher than the one who likes Banana. * N does not like Papaya.

Puzzle 5

Eight friends P, Q, R, S, T, V, W and Y are sitting around a square table in such a way that four of them sit at four corners of the square while four sit in the middle of each of the four sides. The ones who sit at the four corners face the centre while those who sit in the middle of the sides face outside.

P, who faces the centre, sits third to the right of V. T, who faces the centre, is not an immediate neighbour of V. Only one person sits between V and W. S sits second to right of Q. Q faces the centre. R is not an immediate neighbour of P.
