Puzzle 1

India is to play cricket matches with 7 different countries – Zimbabwe, Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand on seven days of a week from Monday to Sunday but not necessarily in the same order. These matches are to be played at different venues – Mumbai, Mohali, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Kanpur and Kolkata again not necessarily in the same order.

Match with Sri Lanka is to be played on Thursday. The match with New Zealand is to be played in Mohali. Three matches are scheduled between matches with England and New Zealand. The match in Kanpur is to be played on Monday. The matches in Mumbai and Hyderabad are not with Sri Lanka. On Wednesday, there is no match in Ahmedabad or Mohali or Mumbai. The match in Mumbai is played immediately after the day on which match in Kolkata is scheduled. The match in Hyderabad is not before the match in Mohali. There is 1 match scheduled between the matches with Sri Lanka and England. The match with West Indies is not scheduled in Kolkata or Ahmedabad or Ranchi. The match with Zimbabwe is not on Monday. The match in Ahmedabad is scheduled after the match in Mumbai. The match with Pakistan is not scheduled in Kanpur. The match in Mohali is scheduled just before the match in Hyderabad. The match with England and Pakistan is not scheduled in Ahmedabad.

Puzzle – 2

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are born in same date and month of different years viz., 1951, 1956, 1962, 1964, 1967, 1972, 1977 and 1984 but not necessary in the same order. Their ages were calculated based on the year 2019.

Only two persons are born between G and E. G’s age was multiple of 5.H was born immediately before E. As many persons born after F is same as the persons born before B. E does not born immediately before or after F. As many persons born between H and A is same as the persons born between B and C.D was born immediately after F.

Puzzle 3

Eight persons namely P, Q, R, S, W, X, Y and Z are sitting in a Rectangular table facing towards the center. Four of the persons are sitting in 4 corners while 4 of the persons are sitting in the middle of the sides. They have different ages. Those who sit in the corners having the ages in multiple of 2. Those who sit at the middle of the sides having the ages in multiple of 3.

Age of R is greater than 20. Age of R is 24 years more than the age of X. Age of X is 3 more than the age of P. P sits second to the right of the one who has the age of 44. P is an immediate neighbor of 39. Two persons sit between Q and having the age of 39. Q has not the age of 44. W sits second to the left of Q. S is an immediate right of the person having age of 15. Three persons sit between Z and the one having age 15. The difference between Z and the one who is second to the left of Z is 6. S is older than Z. Immediate neighbors of S are younger than S. Person having the age 22 sits second to the right of the person having age 10. Age of P is not 10. Y sits immediate left of the person having age of 22. Age of Y is 51.

Puzzle – 4

There are eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H sitting around a
Rectangular table facing the centre but not necessarily in the same order. All of them have a favorite Color. Their favorite colors are Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Black, Orange, Pink and White.

• A likes Red and is not an immediate neighbor of the one who likes the orange color. The one who likes the Blue color sits on the immediate left of B, who likes the Green.
• C likes the orange color and sits third to the left of E. The one who likes the White and one who likes the Red are immediate neighbors of each other.
• The one who likes the Black and the one who likes the Blue are immediate neighbors of each other but both of them are the neighbors neither of E nor of C.
• Neither E nor D likes the White. Only F sits between the one who likes the Blue color and the one who likes the yellow color. G sits third to the left of the person who likes the White color.

Puzzle – 5

Certain numbers of boxes are placed in a stack one above another. No two boxes are placed in a same shelf. Each boxes has different number of Pens.

Four boxes are placed between A and E which is placed below box G. Not more than four boxes are placed above A. Three boxes are placed between E and the box which has 24pens which is placed above E. The Box S is placed at topmost position. There are six boxes are placed between S and the box which has 40pens.The number of boxes placed between box A and the box which has 40pens is half of the number of boxes placed below box E. Box G is placed just above box T. Six Boxes are placed between T and H which is placed three position below the box which has 36pens. Box H is placed second position from bottom. Eight boxes are placed between G and the box which has 12pens.
