Puzzle 1

Salim, Jack, Bob, Neil, David, Mike and Krish own different brands of car among Honda, Jaguar, Audi, Suzuki, BMW, Ford and Toyota, not necessarily in the given order. Each of the seven men plays exactly one sport among Tennis, Badminton and Cricket.


Mike owns a Ford and doesn’t play Tennis. Neil owns an Audi and plays Tennis. Salim doesn’t play Tennis . Jack doesn’t own a Toyota. Krish is the only Badminton player apart from Jack. David owns a Suzuki and doesn’t play Tennis . Neither the Jaguar owner nor the BMW owner plays Cricket. The Toyota owner plays Badminton. Bob doesn’t own a BMW.

Puzzle 2

There are seven friends – Brian, Paul, Qasim, Rustam, Sam, Tom and Winston – each of whom likes a different subject among Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Math, Sociology, History and Biology. They are ranked 1 to 7 in their final exams, with 1 being the best rank stand at top and 7 the worst stand at bottom according to their rank order.

Qasim likes Sociology, and he stands above Tom but below Winston. Tom gets the worst rank, and he likes neither Geography nor History. Sam likes Physics, and he stands above both Qasim and Winston but below Paul. Rustam gets Rank 2, and he likes neither Chemistry nor Math. Paul likes Biology, and he hasn’t secured the best rank. The student who likes Math gets the best rank. Rustam doesn’t like Geography.

Puzzle 3

Akash, Barun, Chetan, Dheeraj and Gaurav are married to Paula, Brinda, Linda, Garima and Ketki, not necessarily in this order. All these couples have a child each. The names of the five children are Kapol, Dave, Chris, Raman and Nazar, in no particular order.

Gaurav is neither married to Ketki nor is the father of Dave. Neither Brinda nor Garima is Dave’s mother. Ketki is the mother of Kapol. Chetan is the husband of Brinda. Akash isn’t married to Linda. Barun is the father of Chris. Raman’s mother is Paula.

Puzzle 4

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting in a circle facing the centre. All of them have different weights such as 40 Kg, 45 Kg, 50 Kg, 55 Kg, 60 Kg, 65 Kg, 70 Kg and 75 Kg but not necessarily in the same order.

A and B sit opposite to each other and B is heavier than only C, who is not neighbor of A. B is an immediate neighbor of F and D. The one who is the heaviest sits opposite to H. The weight of A is 60 Kg. F who is just Lighter than A, is fourth to the right of E, who is third to the right of C. H is Lighter than only D. E is Lighter than only 2 persons.

Puzzle 5

Seven persons M, N, Q, R, S, T, and U are scheduled to go to different places viz. Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Chennai but not necessarily in the same order. They are likely to go on the seven days of the week starting from Monday to Sunday but not necessarily in the same order.

N goes to Chennai on Thursday. R neither goes to Pune nor Chandigarh and neither on Saturday or Sunday. U goes immediately after the person who goes to Bangalore. The person who goes to Rajasthan goes on Wednesday. There are three people between R and T and R goes before T. The one who goes to Delhi goes immediately after the person who goes to Chandigarh but before the person who goes to Pune. Q, who goes to Delhi, goes before the person who goes on Sunday. The person who goes to Bangalore goes on Monday. T goes to Chandigarh.
