Puzzle 1

A, B, C, D, E, F and G are sitting in a straight line facing north. Each one of them lives on a different floor in the same building which is numbered from 1st to 7th.
B sits fourth to the left of the person living on the 6th floor. Either B or the person living on the 6th floor sits at the extreme ends of the line.
Only one person sits between B and G. G lives on the 3rd floor. The person living on the 1st floor sits third to right of D. D is not an immediate neighbour of G. Only one person sits between E and the person who lives on the 2nd floor.
A and C are immediate neighbours of each other. A does not live on the 6th floor. One who lives on the 5th floor sits third to right of the one who lives on the 7th floor.

A, B, C, D, E, F और G एक सीधी रेखा में उत्तर की ओर मुख करके बैठे है. इनमे से प्रत्येक एक ईमारत के अलग-अलग तल पर रहते है जोकि पहले तल से आरम्भ होकर सातवें तल तक स्थित है.
B, छठे तल पर रहने वाले व्यक्ति के बायें से चौथे स्थान पर स्थित है. या तो B या वह व्यक्ति जो छठे तल पर रहता है रेखा के अंतिम तल पर स्थित है.
केवल एक व्यक्ति B और G के मध्य बैठा है. G, तीसरे तल पर रहता है. वह व्यक्ति जो पहले तल पर रहता है, D के दायें से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है. D, G का निकटतम पडोसी नहीं है. केवल एक व्यक्ति E और दूसरे तल पर रहने वाले व्यक्ति के बीच में बैठा है.
A और C एक-दूसरे के निकटतम पडोसी है. A, छठे तल पर नहीं रहता है. वह व्यक्ति जो पांचवे तल पर, सातवें तल पर रहने वाले व्यक्ति के दायें से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है.

Puzzle 2

P, Q, R, S, T, V and W are seven friends. Each of them likes a particular fruit viz. Apple, Banana, Pear, Guava, Orange, Mango and Watermelon and each of them has a favourite city, viz. Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin. The choices of fruit and favourite city of the seven friends are not necessarily in the same order.

Q likes Mango and his favourite city is Chennai. The one whose favourite city is Pune likes Watermelon. T’s favourite city is Kolkata. R likes Guava and his favourite city is not Mumbai. W’s favourite city is Cochin and he does not like either Banana or Pear. The favourite city of the one, who likes Orange is Hyderabad. T does not like Pear. P’s favourite city is neither Pune nor Hyderabad. S does not like Watermelon.

P, Q, R, S, T, V और W सात मित्र हैं. उनमें से प्रत्येक को विभिन्न प्रकार का फल पसंद है अर्थात सेब, केले, नाशपाती, अमरूद, संतरा, आम और तरबूज और उनमें से प्रत्येक को विभिन्न शहर पसंद है अर्थात मुंबई, पुणे, दिल्ली, कोलकाता, चेन्नई, हैदराबाद और कोचीन. सात मित्रों कि फलों और शहरों कि पसंद आवश्यक नहीं कि इसी क्रम में हो.

Q को आम पसंद है और उसका पसंदीदा शहर चेन्नई है. वह व्यक्ति जिसका पसंदीदा शहर पुणे है उसे तरबूज पसंद है. T का पसंदीदा शहर कोलकाता है. R को अमरुद पसंद है और उसक पसंदीदा शहर मुंबई नहीं है. W का पसंदीदा शहर कोचीन है और उसे या तो केला या नाशपाती पसंद नहीं है. वह व्यक्ति जिसे संतरा पसंद है वह हैदराबाद से संबंधित है. T को नाशपाती पसंद नहीं है. P का पसंदीदा शहर न तो पुणे न ही हैदराबाद. S को तरबूज पसंद नहीं है.
