A group of eight friends includes a soldier, a chef, an engineer, a doctor, a teacher, a driver, a pilot and a sailor. They are sitting in a circle but not necessarily in the same order. Some are facing towards the center and some are facing outwards. The Engineer faces outwards. The Soldier does not sit with the Engineer. The Chef and the Soldier sit opposite to each other. The Driver and the Pilot do not face in the same directions. The Doctor sits second to the left of the Sailor who does not face towards the center. The Pilot sits third to the right of the Engineer. The Doctor and the Chef face outwards. The Teacher sits opposite to the Pilot and both of them face towards the center. The Sailor sits to the immediate left of the Pilot. The Soldier and the Driver face in opposite directions.

Seven boxes i.e. P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are kept one above the other in a stack. The lowermost stack is numbered 1, the stack above it is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost stack is numbered 8. One of the stacks is empty. All the information is not necessarily in the same order.
(Note: If one box is kept between box A and box B, then it means that there is a gap of either one stack or two stacks)
Two boxes are kept above box U. Two boxes are kept between box U and box P and there is no empty stack between them. No box is kept between box P and box T which is not kept at an even numbered stack. Two boxes are kept between box T and box R which is not kept at an even numbered stack. One box is kept between box R and box Q. Box S is kept above box P. Box V is not kept at an even numbered stack.
