Athidhi Portal Kerala:- The government of Kerala is set to introduce the “Athidhi Portal” as a means to register migrant labourers. Recently, the labour department announced that the portal will be launched statewide, allowing migrant workers to register. Both contractors responsible for bringing temporary workers from other states and employers will have the ability to register their employees on the portal. The primary objective of this initiative by the Kerala government is to streamline the registration process for migrant workers in the state and implement a specialized identification system. The official launch of the ‘Athidhi Portal’ is scheduled for Monday.

The Kerala state government is all set to launch Athidhi, a user-friendly web platform aimed at simplifying the registration process for migrant workers in Kerala while implementing a unique identity system. This decision was prompted by recent incidents involving suspected sexual offenses against children by migrant workers, leading the government to expedite the registration process for “guest workers.”
