About Empress Garden Pune
Empress Garden is a beautifully maintained 182-year-old garden named in honor of Queen Victoria. Known as the Soldiers’ Garden, it served as a leisure spot for soldiers during the British era. The garden spans 39 acres and features approximately 180 to 200 species of trees and plants. A dedicated 5-acre nursery is utilized for nurturing saplings that are later planted throughout the garden.
For families, Empress Garden offers a play area for children and a section for indoor games, ensuring that kids have a delightful experience. Additionally, the garden boasts a stunning lotus pond, which adds a unique charm to the park.
