Puzzle 1

P, Q, S, T, U, V, and W live on different floors of the same building having seven floors numbered 1 to 7, ground floor is numbered 1, and so on. Each of them belongs to a different city among Kanpur, Gwalior, Mangalore, Nagpur, Bareli, Hampi, and Pune but not necessarily in the same order.

S belongs to Hampi and there is one floor between the floor on which T lives and S lives. P lives immediately above U’s floor. U belongs to Bareli. There are two floors between the floor on which Q lives and U lives. There are three floors between the floor on which W lives and P lives. The one who belongs to Pune lives on floor number 6. The one who belongs to Kanpur lives on floor number 3. The person who belongs to Nagpur lives above Q’s floor. Those who belong to Hampi and Bareli live on even-numbered floors. Q does not live on floor number 1. S lives on the fourth floor and T lives on the sixth floor.

Puzzle 2

Eight people P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W were born in three different months(of the same year) but not necessarily in the same order, namely March, June and December such that not less than two people and not more than three people were born in a month. Each of them also likes a different fruit namely Guava, Peach, Banana, Cherry, Mango, Orange, Kiwi, and apple but not necessarily in the same order. Each goes to Eight different Universities namely the Indian Institute of Science, University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Osmania University, IIT Madras, Shivaji University, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and the University of Mumbai but not in the necessarily same order.

Only Q and W were born in March. R likes Apple and was born in the same month as T. R was not born in December. The one who likes Mango was born in the month which has 30 days only. U was not born in the same month as T. S likes Cherry and born in the same month as U. V does not like Mango. The one who likes Kiwi and the one who likes Banana were born in the same month, The one who likes Kiwi was not born in the same month as W. U does not like Kiwi. The one who likes Guava was born in the same month as P. Q does not like Peach. T does not like Mango. Three people are there between the one who goes to IIT Madras on one of the months which has more than 30 days and the one who goes to Shivaji University on one of the months which has less than 31 days. Three people are there between the one who goes to Dr. APJ Technical University on one of the months which has more than 30 days and the one who goes to the University of Delhi on one of the months which has more than 30 days. Three people are there between the one who goes to Osmania University on one of the months which has less than 30 days and the one who goes to Banaras Hindu University on one of the months which has more than 30 days. V does not go to Neither University of Mumbai nor IIT Madras. W does not go to the University of Delhi.

Puzzle 3

G, H, I, J, K, L, M and N are eight children of different school who select for a district level program. They are also from different house. They are living in a same 8-floor building. Only one student stays on one floor. The houses are Blue, Red, Pink, Green, Yellow, Black, Purple and White but not necessarily in the same order. The eight different schools are Alma mater, St. maria, St. bishop, St. francis, St. Conrord, St.Altus, St. mary and St. xaviers but not necessarily in the same order.

L is from Green house and lives on the sixth floor. The person who is from Pink house study in St. francis and lives on the third floor. The student who is from Black house lives on the first floor. The student who studies in St. xaviers lives on the top floor. The student who is from Purple house lives between I and K. M is from Yellow house and N is from Blue house. The student who is from White house studies in St. Conrord and does not stay on the fifth floor. The student who studies in St. mary lives on the seventh floor. M does not live on the 8th or first floor. The person who is from Red house lives on the fifth floor. The student who is from Red house does not study in St. Altus. The one who study in St. bishop lives on an even-number floor. K is from Red house and H is from White house. J and the student from St. maria stay on even-numbered floors.

    J and the student from St. Maria live on even no. floors (from question)
    means that they are differnet students and hence St. Maria can be placed exactly at 6 ….
