Assam Khel Maharan 2023
The Assam Chief Minister, Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma, along with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, has introduced Assam Khel Maharan, a program aimed at encouraging the youth of Assam to participate in games. The government has announced that the state will host ক্ৰীড়া মহাৰাণ 2023 from November 1, 2023, to January 10, 2024. Organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Assam Khel Maharan 2023 is expected to attract more than 50 lakh players this year. Additionally, Khel Maharan will be organized at various levels, including Gram Panchayat, ULB, Ward, Gram Parishad Department Committee, and MAC levels, with a focus on the Bodoland Territorial Cause. The event will feature five different sports: kabaddi, athletics, football, volleyball, and kho kho.
