There are six people A, B, C, D, E, and F, seating around a rectangular table facing outwards. Four of them are seating at the longer sides (two people on each of the longer side) and remaining are seating at the shorter sides (one person on each of the shorter side). D and E are not immediate neighbours. A is sitting diagonally opposite to B. F and D sit diagonally opposite to each other. B is sitting second to the left of C, who is sitting at the shorter side of the table. E is sitting two places away from A.

Puzzle 2

Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows consisting of five persons each. In row 1- J, K, L, M and N are sitting, facing south. In row 2- U, V, X, Y and Z are sitting, facing north. Each member seated in one row faces another member of the other row not necessarily in the given order.

X is sitting in the middle of the row. L is sitting two places away from the one, who is sitting opposite to X. M is sitting three places away from L. The one, who is sitting opposite to M, sits three places away from U. Two persons are sitting between N and K. N is not sitting at any of the extreme ends. U sits three places away from Y. Z sits second to the left of Y.
