U, V, W, X, Y, Z, A and B work in army at different levels. They like different colours among red, blue, white, yellow, pink, green, black and orange but not necessarily in the same order. Their ranks are Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lt. Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier, Major general and General but not necessarily in the same order. (Note: Rank increase move from left to right as Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lt. Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier, Major general and General). Lieutenant rank is the lowest rank and General rank is the highest rank.
3 people ranks lie in between the ranks of the person who likes green and Z whose rank is higher than the person who likes green. Y’s rank is higher than the person who likes red. Neither the person who likes yellow nor the person who likes orange has the highest rank. B’s rank is higher than X’s rank but less than Y’s rank. W and U likes pink and white respectively. No persons rank lie in between A and W’s rank. Neither Z nor V likes orange and black. Neither B nor X likes red. 3 people ranks lie in between U and the person who likes orange. V is a captain. At least two people ranks lie in between Z and Y’s rank. No person rank lie in between the person who likes yellow and the person who likes blue. At least 1 person rank lies in between Y and the person who likes black. A’s rank is higher than U’s rank.

There are 10 people – A, B, C, D, E, M, N, O, P and Q who stay on 4 floors (numbered 1 to 4) of a building. There are three flats on each of the four floors out of which two flats are vacant.
The flats are numbered 1, 2 and 3 on each of the floors and are left to right on the floor respectively. Flat no. 1 of floor no. 2 is exactly above the flat no. 1 of floor no. 1 and so on.
M stays on flat no. 1 of the floor just below the floor on which B stays. The flat no 2 of floor no 2 is empty. B stays on flat no. 2 on one of the floors. D stays on flat no. 2. C stays on flat no. 3 of same floor on which M stays. Flat to the right of B is empty. Flat on which A stays is below the flat of B such that no one lives between them. Flat no 3 of floor no 4 is empty. Q stays on flat to the right of D. O and E stays on the same floor. C and O do not share same flat no. P does not stay on top floor.

C फ्लैट नंबर पर रहता है। उसी मंजिल का 3 जिस पर M रहता है। B के दायीं ओर का फ्लैट खाली है। जिस फ्लैट पर A रहता है वह B के फ्लैट के नीचे इस प्रकार है कि उनके बीच कोई नहीं रहता है। नीरस नहीं। मंजिल संख्या 4 का 3 खाली है। Q, D के दायें फ्लैट पर रहता है। O और E एक ही मंजिल पर रहते हैं। C और O समान फ्लैट नंबर साझा नहीं करते हैं। P सबसे ऊपरी मंजिल पर नहीं रहता है।
