Paper- I General Studies (Objective Type)
This Paper includes 140 Qs each carrying 1 mark (with total marks-140) and time duration of two hours.

Hindi Essay
This paper is with time duration of three hours and with maximum marks 120.
There will be 3 Qs. in this paper. Selecting one heading (A/B/C) from each question Essays will have to be written (in the given word limit).

UPPSC RO ARO Exam Pattern:
- This examination will be conducted in two stages.
- In which the first phase will consist of 140 objective type (multiple choice) questions of general studies, and 60 questions of general Hindi will be included.
- For which you will be provided three hours.
- In this, the provision of negative marking is 0.33 i.e. one third.
- If you pass the first paper then you will be called for essay writing in the second phase (main exam), for which you will be provided two hours.
