“Such celebrations create an environment of concern; one can’t think about that UCLA will permit for celebrations of the killing of George Floyd, or for celebrations of the Armenian genocide, or the celebrations of the 9/11 assaults,” the letter continues. “It’s inconceivable why such celebrations are usually not denounced by the UCLA management, no matter political opinions.”
“These are genocidal messages displayed on a constructing at George Washington College. If the scholars liable for these messages aren’t severely punished by GWU, one thing is very incorrect,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) wrote on X, the platform previously generally known as Twitter. “Genocide isn’t hip, cute, or in any approach acceptable. GWU—do the appropriate factor NOW!”
