About Tamil Nadu Amma Mini Clinic Scheme


Mr. Edappadi K. Palanisamy, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, announced in November 2022 the launch of the Tamil Nadu Amma Mini Clinic program in order to expand access to medical care throughout the state. There are a lot of low-income people living in the state of Tamil Nadu who, because of the high cost of medical care, prefer not to go to the hospital, in spite of the fact that they may be at risk for developing a variety of illnesses. A total of around 2,000 smaller clinics will be established in order to provide every facility required for the examination of patients. In addition to the apparatus necessary for measuring temperature, oxygen level, blood sugar, and hemoglobin level, each clinic will also staff its premises with a physician, a registered nurse, and other qualified medical professionals.
