Police have arrested a number of individuals on the Gold Coast in the present day after a safety guard was stabbed at a buying centre in Helensvale.
The guard suffered a number of stab wounds and was taken to hospital after emergency companies arrived on the Westfield Helensvale centre about 7.45am.
Police stated plenty of individuals fled the scene.

The sufferer was taken to Gold Coast College Hospital in a severe situation.
The incident triggered a police search of the realm.
It is understood three youngsters who fled the scene have been tracked by police to Beenleigh earlier than they have been arrested.
