PM Modi Gift Auction 2023
Meenakshi Lekhi, the Union Minister of State for Culture, officially launched the fifth round of the PM Memento E-Auction on Monday. This edition of the auction features a collection of 912 items, ranging from artwork by Paresh Maity to regional handicrafts and intricate sculptures. In contrast to the previous four editions, which included approximately 7,000 items, this year’s auction offers a more curated selection. The highest bid so far is 64,80,000 rupees for a painting depicting the Banaras Ghat, as stated on the auction website PM Mementos. Currently, 150 of the items are on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art in the capital, with all items slated for sale this year.
