Peter Dutton calls 21-year-old daughter conceived to girl one 12 months earlier than marriage his ‘greatest mistake’

Peter Dutton has opened up a few “tough interval” after conceiving a daughter with one other girl one 12 months earlier than his marriage.

He revealed how his 21-year-old daughter Rebecca was the “greatest mistake” he “ever made” after conceiving her to a lady one 12 months earlier than he married Kirilly Dutton.

Chatting with the Annabel Crabb in an episode of ABC’s Kitchen Cupboard that may air on Tuesday night, Mr Dutton defined how the interval after Rebecca’s conception was “tough”.

“So Rebecca’s mum, Rachel, she, and I, weren’t collectively on the time of her delivery,” he mentioned.

“And in order that was, that was a tough interval. However Rebecca is 21 now and yeah. Simply was probably the most lovely younger woman.

“You describe it as a mistake on the time, however one of the best mistake I ever made. She’s only a attractive lady.”

Mr Dutton then mentioned that regardless of Rebecca being born to a separate mom, Kirily had been “unbelievable” after accepting his one-year-old.

“And yeah, she’s an incredible spouse and an unbelievable mom and, you realize, to the boys and to Rebecca as properly,” he mentioned.

Mr Dutton married Kirilly in July 2023. The couple now share two boys collectively, Tom and Harry.

Mr Dutton was elected to parliament in November 2001 and Rebecca was born weeks after he gave his first speech in February 2002.

The revelation comes after Peter Dutton disclosed that he’s more likely to be affected by post-traumatic stress dysfunction as a result of his former profession as a police officer.
