Goa Ration Card New List

As known, the ration is essentially an important document for procuring food grains/ food supplies in the country. Through the ration card people in the country who cannot get the costly food commodities get basic food grains and other essentials at much lower rates. Apart from these ration cards, serve as an Identity document. Although, the state government of Goa does not allow the use of it as an identity proof in the state.

The disbursement of the ration cards in the state is done by the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs under the Government of Goa. The state government also renews the ration card details of the citizens of the state every five years.



Types of Goa Ration Card

The Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs issues five types of ration cards to the citizens of the state. These are:

  1. APL (Tide Over)- Also known as the ration cards for the Above Poverty Line category citizens. These ration cards are distributed/ issued to the citizens who have an annual income ranging between 50,000 to 5 Lakh.
  2. Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Card
  3. Priority Household (PHH) Ration Card
  4. Annapurna Ration Card
  5. Welfare Institutions

Goa Ration Card Eligibility

As not all the families in the state are eligible to procure the benefits of the ration card, the government has set up criteria. These criteria have been set up to ensure that the benefits reach only the eligible citizens of the state. Any citizen of the state who wants to secure a ration card must fulfill all the eligibility criteria set up. We are listing all these criteria below.

Essential Documents for Goa Ration Card

Applicants who want to apply for the ration card will require some of the essential documents. We are listing all these documents below.

  • Application for issuing of the ration card addressed to the respective Civil Supplies Inspector.
  • Court Fee Stamp/ Non-Judicial Stamp of Rs. 20/- (to be attached with the application).
  • Cancellation Certificate/ Original Negative Certificate (if the applicant already possesses a ration card of the other state).
  • Birth Certificate (of all family members)
  • Aadhar No. (of all family members)
  • House Tax Receipt
  • Contact Details- Mobile Number
  • Details of the applicant’s/ eldest female family head Bank Account- It will include the account no., IFSC code, etc.
  • If the applicant is a tenant he will need:
    • Self Declaration
    • NOC by the owner of the house with an attested photograph (stating no objection for allotting the house no.)

In case no Elder female head is present, bank details of the male head of the family may be used for application purposes.

Ration Card PDS Commodity Quantity & Rates

The public Distribution System of the state underlines the distribution of three commodities, i.e., rice, wheat, and sugar. All of these commodities are disbursed to the citizens of the state based on their ration card category. Although the commodities remain the same their quantity varies along with the types of ration cards issued in the state.

Goa Ration Card List 2021

For the Citizens of the state who apply for a ration card, the state government will first publish the list of beneficiaries. This list is formulated based on the applicants who are eligible to procure the benefits under the scheme. The Department of Civil Supplies publishes the names of all the beneficiaries on the Ration Card List.

The list and all the ration card-related details maintained by the department are published on the official portal of the Department. Applicants can very conveniently check the list of their respective Food Procuring System of their nearby areas where their name has been listed.

Check New APL BPL Goa Ration Card List Online

Applicants from the state who have applied for a new ration card can check for their names on the list. To check your name, applicants can follow the step-by-step process enlisted below.

Step 1: Go to the official portal of the Goa Civil Supply Department and Consumer Affairs. On the homepage of the website, will have to click on the ‘E-Citizen‘ tab located on the menu bar.

Step 2: Clicking on the tab a drop-down list will open up. Among the list of open options, applicants will have to click on the option of ‘Know your Ration Card‘.

Step 3: Clicking on it, applicants will be directed to the next page. On this page, applicants will have to fill in the captcha and click on the Submit button.

Step 4: Submitting the Captcha code, applicants will be directed to the next page. It will be the District Wise Ration Card Summary.

Step 5: On this page, Applicants will have to enter details like State, District, type of ration card, and DFSO. Choose your state Goa, choose the district, DFSO, choose all ration card schemes or one After that click on the button of ‘View Report‘ located on the page to view the district-wise list of the distributed ration cards.

Step 6: A district-wise list will open up. The details of the total no. of the selected type of ration card NFSA Schemes will be available on the screen of the users. To avail of more information on the Ration card, applicants will have to click on their district name link.

Step 7: Clicking on their district, the ration card details of the citizens will open up as per the TSFO. Applicants can click on their respective TSFO and view the ration card list for their TSFO.

Step 8: Applicants can also select the Fair Price Shops (FPS) under their TSFO and view the ration card list under their nearby FPS. Click on the number against the name, applicants can confirm their details.

Goa Ration Card Online Apply

Applicants of the state who do not possess the ration card can apply for one through the official website of the authority. The new ration cards are issued in the state, we are listing down the process to apply for ration cards in this section.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the Department of Civil Supplies &Consumer Affairs, Goa. On the home page of the portal, applicants will have to click on the tab ‘Online Application‘ available on the menu bar.

Step 2: Click on the option of New Ration Card listed on the drop down menu under the tab.

Step 3: Clicking on the tab , applicants will be directed to the next page, which will be application page.

Step 4: On this page, applicants will have to Sign up using the Aadhar Card details, using username, or using the ration card no. By choosing any of the three options, applicants can proceed further with the process.

Step 5: Fill in all the essential details and procure a ration card as per your regional area FPS.

For applicants who can not apply online can apply for a ration card offline as well. To apply offline, citizens can also visit their nearby FPS and get details about the application from the FPS owner.

How to Issue a Duplicate Goa Ration Card?

Applicants from the state who have somehow lost/ misplaced/ destroyed/ mutilated their ration card or for any other reason do not hold their original ration card can get a duplicate ration card. With this duplicate ration card, applicants can procure the ration benefits provided under the state distribution system. To apply for a duplicate ration card, applicants can follow the steps listed below.

  • The applicant who is the family head will first have to make an application addressed to their respective Civil Supplies Inspector.
  • Applicants must submit their application attached along with a non-judicial stamp of Rs. 20/-
  • From their nearby/ concerned FPS owner, the applicant will have to provide their report regarding the same.
  • Also, the applicant will have to report a missing report in their respective Police Station.
  • The head of the family will also have to produce a self-declaration affixed with the photograph of the member’s head. It is to state that the surrenders the details of the same in case the original ration card is found.

Ration Card- Inclusion of Name

It is well known that the names listed in a ration card can be deleted/ added. Inclusion of name is done to add any member in cases of birth or marriage. For adding a new member of your family, applicants can follow these steps:

  • Firstly, the applicant will have to submit a written application addressed to the Civil Supplies Inspector.
  • If the member to be included is a child of the family, then applicants will have to submit:
    • Birth Certificate- for children up to the age of 5 years.
    • Bonafide Certificate from School- for children above 5 years of age.
  • If the member to be included is a wife, then the applicant will have to submit a cancellation certificate if the girl is holding a ration card at the previous residential location.
  • Submission of a Marriage Certificate is also essential in all such cases.
  • Also, a copy of a ration card and aadhar card is required.

In case any member of the family is separated from the present family, then he/ she can apply for a separate ration card.
