Puzzle 1


There are eight girls – Madhu, Nupur, Sandhya, Khurshid, Manju, Anshu, Sinny and Suman are sitting in a straight line equidistant from each other (but not necessarily in the same order). Some of them are facing south while some are facing north.


Anshu faces north. Only two girls sit to the right of Anshu. Sandhya sits third to the left of Anshu. Only one girl sits between Sandhya and Manju. Manju sits to the immediate right of Khurshid. Only one girl sits between Khurshid and Nupur. Both the immediate neighbors of Sandhya face the same direction. Suman sits third to the left of Manju. Sandhya faces the opposite direction as Anshu. Sinny does not sit at any of the extremes ends of the line. Madhu faces the same direction as Khurshid. Both Sinny and Suman face the opposite direction of Nupur.

Puzzle – 2

Seven Cars are parked in a row facing the north. The cars are different in colors Orange, Yellow, White, Balck, Brown, Pink and Red but not necessariliy in the same order. The distance between adjacent cars is succesive integral multiple of 6m.The distance between each car is increased from left to right.

Yellow color car is 90m to the right of Brown color car. Not more than three cars are parked between Yellow and Brown color car.The distance between Red and Black color car is 54m.Red and Black color car is not adjacent to each other.Orange color car is parked third to the left of the Black color car.White color car is parked to the left of Pink color car.

Puzzle 3

A vendor bought eight different caps I, J, K, L, M, N, O and P on four different months of the same year March, April, May and June but not necessarily in the same order. The caps were bought on 10th and 15th of a month. The cost of each cap is different Rs.36, Rs.35, Rs.81, Rs.40, Rs.45, Rs.57, Rs.61 and Rs.64 but not necessarily in the same order.

The cap O was bought on 15th of a month which has 30 days. Two caps were bought between M and O. The cap P is 57 rupees and it was bought on June 10th.The cost of the cap which it is a cube number was bought on 15th March. As many caps were bought between N and I is as same as J and L and none of the caps were bought on March. Four caps were bought between N and L. The cap N is bought before O. The cap J is Rs.40. One cap was bought between N and J. The cost of cap L is one less than that of the cost of cap M. The cost of cap O is lesser than the cost of cap I but higher than the cost of cap N.

Puzzle – 4

Eight persons J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q are sitting in a square table in such a way that four of them are sitting in four corners and four of them are sitting at middle of the sides. The persons who are sitting at corners facing centre of the table and the persons sitting at middle of the sides are facing away from the centre of the table. They all are belongs to different cities of India viz., Leh, Patna, Pune, Alwar, Kochi, Agra, Salem and Bhuj but not necessary in the same order.

The one who belongs to Salem sits to the immediate right of the one who belongs to Patna.Only two persons are sitting between the one who belongs to Agra and M, who does not sit at any of the middle of the sides. Q sits second to the right of the one who belongs to Alwar and both of them are not immediate neighbour of M. Q does not belong to Agra and sits immediate left of K. J sits opposite to the one who belongs to Kochi. O sits second to the left of the one who belongs to Kochi. K and N do not belong to Kochi. Only three persons are sitting between N and the one who belongs to Salem. As many persons sitting between P and the one who belongs to Bhuj is same as the persons sitting between the one who belongs to Leh and the person belongs to Bhuj. Q does not belong to Bhuj.L sits immediate right of the one who belongs to Agra.

Puzzle – 5

Eight boxes P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are kept one above another in a rack and each box having balls in prime number in between 20 to 70. They all are in different colours viz., Purple, Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and White but not necessary in the same order.

Only two boxes are kept between the box which is in Blue colour and the box V, which is second from either from topmost or bottom of the rack. The box which has the number of balls one more than the perfect square of a number is kept immediately below the Blue coloured box. Only four boxes are kept between the box R and the Orange coloured box, which is kept below the box R. The box V is not in Orange colour. The box which is at fourth from the bottom has 6 balls less than the ball in the box which is third from the bottom. Only one box is kept between S and the box which is in Yellow colour, which is kept below the box S. The box S has the maximum number of balls. Neither the box S nor the box which is in Yellow colour kept at either bottom most or topmost of the rack. None of the boxes has 47 balls. The box which is in White colour kept immediately above the box T. The box which is in White colour has the balls one more than double the balls that box T has. The box T does not kept immediately above or below the box S and also not in Orange colour. Only two boxes are kept between the Green coloured box and P, which has least number of balls. The box P does not kept at the bottommost position.The violet coloured box is kept immediate below the box W and the difference between the balls in the both boxes are perfect square of an even number. As many boxes kept between the box P and the Red coloured box is same as between the box U and the White coloured box. The box R has more number of ballsthan in the Orange coloured box and less than the balls in the box V.
