Puzzle – 1

Twelve people are sitting in two parallel rows containing six people each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row – 1, A, B, C, D, E, and F are seated and all of them are facing south. In row – 2, P, Q, R, S, T, and V are seated and all of them are facing north. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row.


V sits third to the right of S. S faces F and F does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line. D sits third to right of C. R faces C. The one facing E sits third to the right of P. B and P do not sit at the extreme ends of the line. T is not an immediate neighbor of V and A is not an immediate neighbor of F. Also, P sits to the left of S.

Puzzle – 2

There are five men, Anuj, Kunal, Sourav, Rahul and Harish. The one who is tallest is not the youngest.

Kunal is older than only Harish. Sourav is older than Rahul but shorter than him. Only one person is taller than Rahul. Anuj is shortest while younger than only Sourav and Rahul. Only two men are shorter than Sourav.

Puzzle – 3

Six People – A, C, D, E, F, and G live in eight different floors of the building (but not necessarily in the same order). Two of the floors in the building are vacant. The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one, the one above that is numbered two, and so on till the topmost floor is numbered eight. Each one of them likes different brands of shoes, namely Adidas, Liberty, Puma, Bata, Nivea, and NIKE (but not necessarily in the same order). All have a different number of books 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 but not in the same order.

The difference of books of C and G is equal to the number of books held by F. The number of floors above F is the same as the number of floors between F and D. F lives an odd numbered floor above the floor numbered four. There are three people live between the two vacant floors. Only three floors between D and the one who likes Bata. The one who likes Nivea lives immediately above G. The difference of books of D and A is equal to the number of books held by E. Only three floors between G and A.The one who likes NIKE lives immediately above the one who likes Adidas. C has more books than G. C lives immediately above the one who likes Puma. D has more books than A. The number of floors between F and the one who likes LIBERTY is only one. The one who likes LIBERTYShoes immediately below one of the vacant floors. The floor number of the vacant floors are even – number. Only two floors are there between the one who likes NIKE and Bata. C lived immediately below one of the vacant floors and not on the ground floor. C neither lived on floor number 5 nor floor number 3. A has more than 3 books. The one who likes Liberty lives on one of the floors below the floor number 4. G does not have 4 books. A has neither 2 nor 6 books. The number of books held by C, G and F together is “4” less than the number of books held by E, A, and D together.

In an 8- story building, ground floor is numbered 1, next floor is numbered 2 and so on, there live 8 persons- A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H along with their wives – P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W. They have different cars- Alto, Breeza, Desire, Ferrari, Mercedes, Santro, Scorpio, and Zen not necessarily in the same order. Each couple has a unique car.

H lives with his wife, P on an even-numbered floor but not on the topmost floor. H does not have Santro. The one having Alto lives immediately below the one in which W lives. The one who has Breeza lives on an odd-numbered floor. U has Scorpio. D lives on an odd-numbered floor. B does not live on floor number 1. The one who has Ferrari lives on one of the floors below the one who has Santro. D is not married to U. T is the wife of neither B nor E. F lives on an odd-numbered floor but above floor number 3. Only one person lives between H and G. The one who has Breeza lives immediately above the one who has Ferrari. D’s wife is not among T, Q, and S. Q is not married to E. T has a Breeza car. Three persons live between F and E, who has a Desire car. R has Mercedes. C is married to W and he lives immediately above B who lives on an odd-numbered floor. B and F are not neighbors to each other (can not live immediately above or below each other). More than 3 persons live between B and one having Mercedes. The one having Mercedes does not live on the floor numbered 2. F and the one who has Mercedes does not live on the floor numbered 7. C does not live on the topmost floor. T lives 2 floors below D.

Puzzle – 5

Eight people – P, Q, R, M, L, T, Y, and J are born in different years 1953, 1958, 1959, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1965, and 1971. Each person’s age is calculated with respect to the current year (2018), same month, and same date. Each one of them speaks different types of language Chinese, Hindi, German, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, French, and Tamil. Each one of them uses different types of currencies dollar, dinar, euro, pound, yen, peso, franc, and lira. All the above information is not necessarily in the same order.

L was born after 1963. Two persons were born between L and the one who speaks Marathi. Only one person was born between the one who speaks Marathi and the one who uses franc. J is 3 years younger than T. Neither J nor T speaks Marathi and uses franc. Three persons were born between T and the one who uses lira. The one who speaks Tamil was born immediately before the one who uses lira. The one who uses pound currency is 5 years elder than the one who speaks
Urdu. Three persons were born between P and the one who uses dinar. P was born before the one who uses dinar. The one who speaks Tamil does not use dinar. Only one person was born between the one who uses dinar and the one who speaks German. The one who speaks the German language does not use lira currency. The one who uses dollar currency speaks the Chinese language. Two persons were born between the one who uses yen and the one who uses the dollar. The one who speaks Tamil does not use the Yen currency. J does not use dollar currency. R speaks Hindi. R does not use Pound currency. R is not the eldest person. The one who speaks Marathi does not use the euro. P does not use the euro currency. R does not use peso. Neither L nor P speaks Telugu. Neither M nor Y speak the German language. Y does not use dinar currency.

Puzzle – 6

There are eight persons A, B, C, D, P, Q, R, and S are born in different years viz., 1956, 1962, 1970, 1977, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2001 but not necessarily in the same order. They are working in different cities namely Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune but not necessary in the same order. Calculations are done with respect to the year 2018 and assuming months and dates to be the same.

There are only two persons born between the one who working in Bangalore and A, who does not work in Pune. The age of S is three times the age difference between the one who working in Mumbai and B. C is not elder than the person who working in Delhi. There is only one person born between the one who working in Pune and Q, whose age is a prime number. Not more than two and less than one person born between R and the one who working in Lucknow. P born in one of the odd-numbered year and does not work in Bangalore. A’s age is multiples of four and does not born after 1980. As many persons born between D and the one who working in Pune is the same as the persons born between Q and the one who working in Chennai. C is five years younger than B. P’s age is a prime number and born immediately before the one who working in Mumbai. Sum of the ages of P and Q is equal to the perfect square of a number.
