Beginner Level

Puzzle 1

Eight People – A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H live on eight different floors of building (but not necessarily in the same order). The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one, the one above that is numbered two, and so on till the topmost floor is numbered eight. Each one of them knows a different foreign language, namely Italian, Polish, French, Chinese, German, Danish, Swedish and Thai, but not necessarily in the same order.


F lives an odd numbered floor above the floor numbered four. Only one person lives between F and the one who knows French. The number of people living above F’s floor is same as the number of people living between F and D. Only three people live between D and the one who knows Danish. C lives on one of the odd numbered floors above the one who knows Danish. Only two people live between C and the one who knows Italian. The one who knows Swedish lives immediately above G, G knows neither Danish nor Italian. E does not know Swedish. Only three people live between G and A. The one who knows Thai lives immediately above the one who knows Polish, but not on the topmost floor. Only one person lives between the one who knows Thai and H. Only one person lives between B and the one who knows German.

Puzzle – 2

In a park there are 2 benches in square form. One square is inside another. Twelve friends went to the park and sat on the benches i.e on two different squares-one inside another. Tejas, Dilip, Roy, Alok, Sohail and Sahil are in the outer square facing inward. Deep, Akshay, Sunny, Rupam, Akash and Shankar are sitting in the inner square facing outward. They all are sitting in such a way that in each square four persons are sitting in the middle of the sides and two persons are sitting on diagonally opposite corners. Each friend in the inner square is facing another friend of the outer square.

There are exactly two persons sitting between Tejas and Sohail. Akash sits second to the left of Deep. Roy is on the immediate left of the one who is facing Deep. Neither Akash nor Deep faces either Sohail or Tejas. Alok is facing Shankar and Dilip is not opposite Roy in the outer square. Sohail is not sitting adjacent to Alok. Akshay is not facing Tejas. Between Akshay and Rupam there are as many persons as between Roy and Sahil. Tejas sits on any of the corner.

Puzzle 3

Eight family members, H, I, J, K , U , V, W and Y are sitting around a circular table ,facing the centre .Each of them has one of the favorite color-yellow, green, red, blue, white, black, grey and violet but not necessarily in same order.


• K is the husband of V. Three people sit between H and J. K is not an immediate neighbor of H and J. K does not sit second to the right of J. V sits third to the left of K.
• H is the son of Y whose favorite color is white. No male is an immediate neighbor of K.
• K’sson sits second to the right of W. Only two persons sit
between Y and H’s brother.
• H’s brother sits second to the right of J. W is the sister of U and her favorite color is yellow.
• K’s son and the wife of K’s son are immediate neighbors of each other.
• Y is the daughter of V who is not an immediate neighbor of I
or W.
• Only three persons sits between blue color and black color .V is an immediate neighbor of the person whose favorite color is black. U’s favorite color is Violet. I’s father color is Red.
• K’s son color is not grey.

Puzzle – 4

Eight family members P, Q, Z, F, G, K, D and C are seating around a circle and facing at the centre. Each of them has one of the different profession i.e. Lawyer, Doctor, Engineer, Banker, Architect, Teacher, Actor and singer but not necessarily in the same order.

F is not an immediate neighbor of Q who is a teacher. Only one
person sits between G and Z. Z is the mother of C who is a Singer. Z is not an immediate neighbor of K. Q sits second to the left of G’s husband. No female is an immediate neighbor of Q. D, who is brother-in-law of P is the father of an Architect. D’s daughter sits second to the right of F. F who is a lawyer, is the sister of Z. Q’s daughter is an Engineer. F is not an immediate neighbor of G’s husband. Only one person sits between P and F. P is the father of Z and he is a Banker. G’s brother D sits to the immediate left of G’s mother. Only one person sits between G’s mother and K. D is not an Actor.

Advance Level

Puzzle – 5

There are eight boxes named P, Q, R, S, T, J, L and Y. They are placed one above the other. Each box contains different chocolates Munch, Perk, 5 star, Kitkat, Dairy milk, Milky bar, Bar one and Eclairs but not necessarily in the same order.

Only one box is between Box T and the box which contains Munch. Three boxes are there between Box T and Box J. Two boxes are Box L and the box which contains Eclairs. Box L is placed above the box which contains Eclairs. Box L is placed above Box T. Neither Box J nor Box T is placed at topmost or lowermost position. Number of boxes above Y is same as the number of boxes below the box which contains Eclairs. Two boxes are placed between Box Y and the box which contain 5 star. Only one box is between Box Q and the box which contains Bar one. Box Q does not contain Eclairs. Two boxes are there between P and the box which contains perk. Neither Box J nor Box L contains Perk. Box P is not the lowermost box. Box P is not placed just below Box T. Box R is placed just above the box which contains Milky bar. Neither Box J nor Box T contains Kitkat. Two boxes are between R and the box which contains Kitkat. Box S does not contain Bar one. Box J is placed below Box T.
