Eight persons live in eight different floors. Each one of them speaks different language Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Bengali, Urdu and Gujarati. Lowermost floor is numbered 1, above floor is numbered 2, and so on. Topmost floor is numbered 8.

Only two persons live above B. Three persons live between R and the one who speaks Sanskrit. The one who speaks Gujarati lives below the one who speaks Sanskrit. More than two persons live between the one who speaks Telugu and the one who speaks Urdu. Q lives immediately below the one who speaks Hindi. As many persons live below Q lives above P, who lives above Q. Three persons live between P and the one who speaks Hindi. P does not speak Hindi. As many persons live between P and the one who speaks Telugu is same as person live between A and the one who speaks Bengali, who lives above A. Less than two persons live between B and the one who speaks Telugu. A does not speak Urdu. Only one person lives between B and the one who speaks Urdu. C lives immediately below the one who speaks Tamil. S lives above C, who does not speak Malayalam. More than three persons live between D and the one who speaks Malayalam.

आठ व्यक्ति आठ अलग-अलग मंजिलों में रहते हैं। उनमें से प्रत्येक अलग-अलग भाषा तेलुगु, तमिल, हिंदी, संस्कृत, मलयालम, बंगाली, उर्दू और गुजराती बोलता है। सबसे निचली मंजिल की संख्या 1 है, ऊपर की मंजिल की संख्या 2 है, और इसी तरह आगे भी। सबसे ऊपरी मंजिल की संख्या 8 है।

B के ऊपर केवल दो व्यक्ति रहते हैं। R और संस्कृत बोलने वाले व्यक्ति के बीच तीन व्यक्ति रहते हैं। वह व्यक्ति जो गुजराती बोलता है वह संस्कृत बोलने वाले के नीचे रहता है। तेलुगु बोलने वाले और उर्दू बोलने वाले के बीच दो से अधिक व्यक्ति रहते हैं। Q, हिंदी बोलने वाले के ठीक नीचे रहता है। Q के नीचे जितने व्यक्ति रहते हैं, P के ऊपर रहते हैं, जो Q के ऊपर रहता है। P और हिंदी बोलने वाले के बीच तीन व्यक्ति रहते हैं। P हिंदी नहीं बोलता है। P और तेलुगु बोलने वाले के बीच जितने व्यक्ति रहते हैं उतने ही व्यक्ति A और बंगाली बोलने वाले व्यक्ति के बीच रहते हैं, जो A से ऊपर रहता है। B और तेलुगु बोलने वाले के बीच दो से कम व्यक्ति रहते हैं। A उर्दू नहीं बोलता। B और उर्दू बोलने वाले के बीच केवल एक व्यक्ति रहता है। C, तमिल बोलने वाले के ठीक नीचे रहता है। S, C के ऊपर रहता है, जो मलयालम नहीं बोलता है। D और मलयालम बोलने वाले के बीच तीन से अधिक व्यक्ति रहते हैं।

Puzzle 2

There are ten people namely – P, A, C, R, S, B, E, T, D and Q sitting in a rectangular table in such a way that four persons sitting at corner while two on each bigger side and one each on the smaller side. Some of them facing are center and some of them are not facing center. Each likes different fruits viz. Mango, Orange, Banana, Grapes, Guava, Watermelon, Litchi, Papaya, Cherry, and Apple. All the information is given above not necessarily in the same order. B who likes Orange sits third to the right of C. B is neither sits adjacent to the one who likes Banana nor immediate neighbor of the one who likes Guava. The One who likes Litchi facing center but not immediate neighbors of Q. P neither likes Mango nor sits immediate neighbor of C. P sits second to the right of S. The one who likes Banana sits exactly opposite to S and facing in opposite direction of S. B and R are facing opposite direction to each other. E neither likes Banana nor sits immediate neighbor of the one who likes Guava. Persons diagonally sit opposite at corner sits facing in opposite direction to each other (if one person sits facing center than the person at the corner diagonally opposite sits facing outward and vice-versa). R sits second to the left of the one who likes Banana, who sits on the smaller side of the table. The one who likes Watermelon sits immediate left of one who likes Grapes. T who likes Papaya sits third to the left of one who likes Mango. R faces the same direction as the one who likes litchi facing. E, who sits immediate right of Q and sits exactly between the one who likes Litchi and A. D likes Cherry sits third to the left of the one who likes Apple. The one, who likes Papaya sits at corner, sits third to the left of the one who likes Guava. The one who likes Guava sits together with R at the same side.

एक आयताकार मेज पर दस व्यक्ति अर्थात् – P, A, C, R, S, B, E, T, D और Q इस प्रकार बैठे हैं कि चार व्यक्ति कोने पर बैठे हैं जबकि प्रत्येक बड़ी भुजा पर दो और प्रत्येक पर एक छोटा पक्ष। उनमें से कुछ केंद्र की ओर उन्मुख हैं और उनमें से कुछ केंद्र की ओर उन्मुख नहीं हैं। प्रत्येक को अलग-अलग फल पसंद हैं अर्थात। आम, संतरा, केला, अंगूर, अमरूद, तरबूज, लीची, पपीता, चेरी और सेब। सभी जानकारी ऊपर दी गई है जरूरी नहीं कि इसी क्रम में हो। B जिसे संतरा पसंद है वह C के दायें से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। B न तो केला पसंद करने वाले के आसन्न बैठा है और न ही अमरूद पसंद करने वाले का निकटतम पड़ोसी है। वह व्यक्ति जिसे लीची पसंद है, केंद्र की ओर उन्मुख है लेकिन Q का निकटतम पड़ोसी नहीं है। P को न तो आम पसंद है और न ही C का निकटतम पड़ोसी है। P, S के दायें से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। वह व्यक्ति जिसे केला पसंद है वह S के ठीक विपरीत बैठा है और विपरीत दिशा में उन्मुख है। S. B और R एक दूसरे के विपरीत दिशा की ओर उन्मुख हैं। E न तो केला पसंद करता है और न ही अमरूद पसंद करने वाले के निकटतम पडोसी पर बैठा है. व्यक्ति तिरछे कोने पर विपरीत दिशा में एक-दूसरे की ओर मुख करके बैठे हैं (यदि एक व्यक्ति केंद्र की ओर मुख करके बैठता है, तो तिरछे विपरीत व्यक्ति बाहर की ओर मुख करके बैठता है और इसके विपरीत)। R, केला पसंद करने वाले व्यक्ति के बायें से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठा है, जो मेज की छोटी भुजा पर बैठा है। वह व्यक्ति जिसे तरबूज पसंद है वह अंगूर पसंद करने वाले के ठीक बायें बैठा है। T जिसे पपीता पसंद है वह आम पसंद करने वाले के बायें से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। R का मुख उसी दिशा की ओर है जिस दिशा में वह लीची पसंद करता है। E, जो Q के ठीक दायें बैठा है और लीची पसंद करने वाले और A के ठीक बीच में बैठा है। D को चेरी पसंद है, वह सेब पसंद करने वाले के बायें से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। पपीता पसंद करने वाला व्यक्ति कोने पर बैठा है, अमरूद पसंद करने वाले व्यक्ति के बाएं से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। वह व्यक्ति जिसे अमरूद पसंद है वह R के साथ एक ही ओर बैठा है।
