Four people A, B, C, and D live in a four-floor building, not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor is numbered 1, the floor above that is numbered 2 and so on till the topmost floor is numbered 4. Each one belongs to a different city viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, and Goa, not necessarily in the same order. A lives immediately below the one who is from Delhi. A lives on an odd-numbered floor. C lives two floors above D’s floor. D is not from Delhi. The one who is from Mumbai lives immediately below D. Only one person lives between C and the one who is from Patna.

Puzzle 2

There are seven people – L, M, N, P, Q, R and S whose age are 28, 30, 32, 35, 37, 40, and 45 but not necessarily in the same order. They work in different departments, viz HR, Operations, Marketing, Finance, R&D, Production, Packaging but not necessarily in the same order. N whose age is 28 works neither in HR nor in R&D. P works in Production and he is 30. Q and R are not 32 and neither of them works in R&D. M whose age is 35 works in Marketing. The one whose age is 40 works in the Packaging Department. S whose age is 45 works in Finance. Q’s age is not 37.
