Seven people Jaya, Arun, Reena, Nitin, Neeraj, Rahul and Amit live on separate floors of a 7-floor building. Ground floor is numbered 1, first floor is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost floor is numbered 7. Each one of these likes different companies mobile, viz Sony, Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Panasonic, Oppo and Intex but not necessarily in the same order.

Only three people live above the floor on which Jaya lives. Only one person lives between Jaya and the one who likes Oppo. Rahul lives immediately below the one who likes Samsung. The one who likes Samsung lives on an even numbered floor. Only three people live between the ones who likes Oppo and Apple. Neeraj lives immediately above Reena. Neeraj does not like Apple. Only two people live between Arun and the one who likes Panasonic. The one who likes Panasonic lives below the floor on which Arun. The one who likes Sony does not live immediately above or immediately below Arun. Nitin does not live immediately above or immediately below Jaya. Amit does not likes Nokia.

Puzzle 2

J, Y, O, D, C, R, P and M are sitting in a straight line equidistant from each other (but not necessarily in the same order). Some of them are facing south while some are facing north. (Note: Facing the same direction means, if one is facing north then the other also faces north and vice-versa. Facing the opposite directions means, if one is facing north then the other faces south and vice-versa).

Y faces the opposite direction as J. Only two people sit to the right of J. Y sits third to the left of J. D faces the same direction as C. Both P and O face the opposite direction of M. R sits to the immediate right of C. Only one person sits between C and M. Both the immediate neighbours of Y face the same direction. J faces north. O sits third to the left of R. Only one person sits between Y and R. P does not sit at any of the extremes ends of the line.
