Puzzle 1

Eight people – Aditya, Charu, Sheetal, Priya, Amit, Prerna, Sneha, Swara – live on different floors of an eight storeyed building. The lowest floor is the first floor. Each has a car of a different brand – Audi, Scorpio, Wagon-R, Santro, Volkswagan, SUV, Toyoto, Chevy.

The owner of the Santro car lives between the owners of the Wagon-R and Volkswagan cars, neither of whom is Swara. The owner of the SUV car lives immediately below the owner of the Audi car. Priya has a Toyota car and she lives neither on the top floor nor on the first floor. Amit has a SUV car. Aditya lives immediately above Amit. Prerna, who does not own a Scorpio car, lives on the second floor, immediately below the owner of the Volkswagan car. Aditya lives somewhere above Priya. Sheetal does not live on a floor adjacent to the owners of the Toyota or Chevy car. Charu lives immediately below the owner of the Santro car, but not on the lowest floor.

Puzzle 2

Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing five persons each in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In Row – 1, T, U, V, W and X are seated and all of them are facing north. In Row -2, E, F, G, H and I are seated and all of them are facing south. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row.

T is sitting second to the left of V. The person who faces V is third to the left of F. W is sitting second to the right of X. I is sitting between H and E. T faces E. X does not face G. U is at the extreme left end of the row. X is not an immediate neighbor of V.
