Seven friends U, V, W, X, Y, Z and A had their houses situated along a straight row facing the north. They like different colours among Golden, Silver, Purple, Grey, Violet, Indigo and Brown but not necessarily in the same order and distance between the neighbouring houses was a successive integral multiple of 5km and the distance increased from left to right.
U’s house was third to the left of the official who likes Indigo colour. V’s house was 135km to the right of the friend who likes Grey colour. W’s house was exactly between A’s house and the friend who likes brown colour. The friend who likes violet colour was to the immediate left of the friend who likes purple colour. The friend who likes purple colour was 115km to the left of X’s house. The friend who likes indigo colour was the neighbour of X’s house. The friend who likes grey colour was 85km away from Y’s house. The friend who likes golden colour had house at one of the extreme ends. A did not like silver colour and distance between any two houses was less than 80 km.

U का घर इंडिगो रंग पसंद करने वाले अधिकारी के बाएं से तीसरे स्थान पर है। V का घर ग्रे रंग पसंद करने वाले मित्र के दायें से 135 किमी दूर है। W का घर A के घर और भूरा रंग पसंद करने वाले मित्र के ठीक बीच में था। वह मित्र जिसे बैंगनी रंग पसंद है, वह उस मित्र के ठीक बायें बैठा है जिसे बैंगनी रंग पसंद है। वह मित्र जिसे बैंगनी रंग पसंद है, X के घर के बाईं ओर 115 किमी है। नील रंग पसंद करने वाला मित्र X के घर का पड़ोसी था। वह मित्र जिसे ग्रे रंग पसंद है, Y के घर से 85 किमी दूर था। जिस मित्र को सुनहरा रंग पसंद है उसका एक अंतिम छोर पर घर था। A को सिल्वर रंग पसंद नहीं था और किन्हीं दो घरों के बीच की दूरी 80 किमी से कम थी।

Eight persons U, V, W, A, B, C, D and E who have their birthdays in four months – June, July, November and December on either 6th and 8th of the month. They live in different cities viz. Bhopal, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Ranchi, Lucknow and Bangalore but not necessarily in the same order.
D does not like in Mumbai. Birthday of U is in the month having 31 days but before the one who lives in Lucknow. There are two birthdays between the birthday of U and W. The birthday of the one who lives in Chennai is immediately after W’s birthday. U’s birthday is just after V. There are two birthdays after the one who lives in Lucknow. There are two birthdays between the birthdays of E and the one who lives in Bangalore and either of both of them have his birthday at last of all the persons. V’s birthday is on 8th of month having 30 days. V does not share his birthday month with W. The birthday of the one who lives in Ranchi is just before the birthday of V. E and the one who lives in Delhi share same birthday date. There are three birthdays between the birthdays of C and the one who lives in Pune. V and W do not live in Pune. E does not live in Delhi. B lives in Bhopal and his birthday is before the one who lives in Lucknow. The birthday of the one who lives in Delhi and Mumbai are immediate to each other. D and the one who lives in Mumbai share same birthday date.

D को मुंबई में पसंद नहीं है। U का जन्मदिन 31 दिन वाले महीने में है लेकिन लखनऊ में रहने वाले व्यक्ति से पहले है। U और W के जन्मदिन के बीच दो जन्मदिन हैं। चेन्नई में रहने वाले व्यक्ति का जन्मदिन W के जन्मदिन के ठीक बाद है। U का जन्मदिन V के ठीक बाद है। लखनऊ में रहने वाले व्यक्ति के दो जन्मदिन हैं। E के जन्मदिन और बैंगलोर में रहने वाले व्यक्ति के बीच दो जन्मदिन हैं और दोनों में से किसी एक का जन्मदिन सभी व्यक्तियों के अंत में है। V का जन्मदिन 30 दिनों वाले महीने की 8 तारीख को है। V अपने जन्मदिन का महीना W के साथ साझा नहीं करता है। रांची में रहने वाले व्यक्ति का जन्मदिन V के जन्मदिन से ठीक पहले होता है। E और दिल्ली में रहने वाले का जन्मदिन समान होता है। C के जन्मदिन और पुणे में रहने वाले व्यक्ति के बीच तीन जन्मदिन हैं। V और W पुणे में नहीं रहते हैं। E दिल्ली में नहीं रहता है। B भोपाल में रहता है और उसका जन्मदिन लखनऊ में रहने वाले व्यक्ति से पहले आता है। दिल्ली और मुंबई में रहने वाले व्यक्ति का जन्मदिन एक दूसरे के ठीक निकट है। D और मुंबई में रहने वाला व्यक्ति समान जन्मदिन की तारीख साझा करता है।
