About AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

AICTE Swanath Scholarship has been launched by the All India Council for Technical Education. Through this scholarship scheme financial incentives of Rs 50000 per annum are provided to 2000 students every year. All those students who are orphans, wards of parents who died due to covid-19, wards of armed forces, and Central paramilitary forces martyred in action can get the benefit of this scholarship scheme. Through this scheme, students can avail of the benefit amount only if they are studying in AICTE approved institutions and courses. Now each and every child, despite their financial condition will get the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future through education.

Objective Of AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

The main objective of the AICTE Swanath scholarship scheme is to provide scholarships to the orphans, wards of armed forces and Central paramilitary forces martyred in action, and wards of parents who died due to covid-19 so that they can pursue their education without any financial burden. With the help of this scholarship scheme each and, every child will get the opportunity to acquire higher education. This scholarship scheme will provide encouragement and support to students. AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme will also increase the literacy rate and improve the standard of living. Unemployment will also reduce with the implementation of this scholarship scheme

Amount Of Scholarship under AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

Under this scholarship scheme an amount of Rs 50000 per annum every year will be sanctioned to 2,000 students. Out of these 2000 students, 1000 will be degree students and 1000 students will be diploma students. The maximum duration to get the benefit of this scholarship scheme is 4 years for first-year admitted degree students and 3 years for diploma students. This amount will be provided for college fees, purchase of computer, stationery, book, equipment, software, etc. Under this scholarship scheme, no other additional grant will be payable for hostel charges, medical charges, etc.

If the student is currently studying in the second, third, or fourth year at degree level then the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 3, 2, 1 year respectively. Similarly, for those students who are currently studying in second or third-year diploma level, the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 2, 1 year respectively

Selection Criteria For AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

• For degree level- On the basis of merit of qualifying examination. Other criteria include age and annual family income. In case of tie a student having a higher percentage of marks will be ranked higher. Similarly students of elder age and lower annual family income will also be ranked higher.
• For Diploma Level- The selection of candidates will be based on merit of qualifying examination. In case of tie The candidate of elder age and lower annual income will be ranked higher

Eligibility Criteria Of AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

• The candidate should either be orphan or both parents died due to covid-19 aur ward of armed forces and Central paramilitary forces martyred in action
• Family income of the applicant from all sources should not be more than Rs 8 lakh per annum
• The candidate must be studying in AICTE approved institutions and courses
• Applicant should not be a recipient of any of the central or State Government or AICTE sponsored scholarships

• Orphan Candidates:
  • Death Certificate of Father & Mother.
  • Notarized affidavit on Rs 100/- stamp paper mentioning details as per enclosed format.
  • Bonafide Certificate issued by the institution.
  • 10+2/ equivalent and 10th Mark sheet for Degree Level and 10th/ equivalent for Diploma Level
  • Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL).
• Candidates whose either or both Parents Died due to Covid-19:
  • Death Certificate of Father/Mother or both explicitly mentioning that the death was due to Covid-19.
  • If one parent (Father or Mother) is alive, current year income certificate explicitly mentioning that income of family less than 8 Lakh.
  • Bonafide Certificate issued by the institution.
  • 10+2 / equivalent and 10th Mark sheet for Degree Level and 10th/ equivalent for Diploma Level.
  • Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL).

  • Death Certificate.
  • Shaheed Certificate issued by the Armed Forces/ Central Paramilitary Forces.

Terms And Conditions Of AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021

• This scheme will bimplemented and monitored by AICTE
• The applications will invit once a year through National scholarship portal
• Incomplete application will reject
• It is mandatory to have Aadhar number in order to apply for this scholarship scheme
• If the applicant fails or drops out in any year then the applicant will not be eligible for further scholarship
• For converting cumulative grade point average to percentage multiplying factor will be 9.5
• The query regarding non payment of the scholarship due to invalid or wrong account number will be entertained only upto 6 months from the date of publishing the merit list
• The list of shortlisted candidate will be uploaded on the AICTE portal
• In case if any student have any query regarding the merit list then the student can raise the grievance within a month
• If grades are given in the marksheet then the grades will be converted into CGPA and then average CGPA will be calculated after that it will be converted into percentage
