6 lifeless after helicopter crashes in Mojave Desert: Sheriff

The crash was reported round 10 p.m. Friday close to Nipton, California.

A helicopter carrying six folks crashed within the Mojave Desert Friday night, killing all passengers aboard, in response to authorities.

Two crew members and 4 passengers departed from Palm Springs, California, at 8:45 p.m., and have been en path to Boulder Metropolis, Nevada, which is about 26 miles southeast of Las Vegas.

Authorities have been notified of the crash shortly after 10 p.m. Friday night, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Division stated.

“The scene of the crash was decided to be east of the 15-Freeway, close to Halloran Springs Highway,” the assertion added.

A meteorologist is working to research precise climate circumstances to substantiate native witness stories of rain and a “wintery combine” together with snow, Michael Graham, member of the Nationwide Transportation Security Board, stated in a presser Saturday night.

The Eurocopter EC-130 helicopter did not have a cockpit voice recorder or flight knowledge recorder, nor was it required to, in response to Graham.
