HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Texas has bused and flown greater than 100,000 migrants out of state as a part of Gov. Greg Abbott’s “Operation Lone Star” border initiative.

Because the first bus of migrants was despatched out-of-state in April 2022, Texas has bused and flown greater than 103,100 migrants to 6 cities in an effort to “to fill the harmful gaps created by the Biden Administration’s refusal to safe the border,” in line with Abbott.


Greater than 37,900 migrants have been despatched to New York, adopted by 31,500 to Chicago, 16,300 to Denver, 12,500 to Washington, D.C., 3,400 to Philadelphia and 1,500 to Los Angeles, in line with Abbott.

“It is disheartening the governor of Texas is actually invoking chaos,” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson stated in December.


Abbott responded saying, “Now the remainder of America is knowing precisely what’s going on.”
